Nah, too radical.

GET VOSS! NO, GET BUCKLEY!!!

Yeah, nah, I agree with you. A thought I was reminded of when watching Nigel Lappin celebrating in the Geelong coaches box after the game on Saturday.
Both were commentators.

And back for round three

No-one seems to know anything about this rumor so I would say that is all it is.

I really hope so !

From the coaching current set up Riley & Monty seem the most worthy.

I know Monty is attending AFL coaching program in Canberra along with Harvey. So have to wonder he Monty is leaving (If true) ?

Does he not rate Ratten or do we not rate him...

Corsica left after a year, now Monty...interesting !

Did it?

Where'd it go?

Got fed up with the Mediterranean, and decided to get a gig with the South Pacific?

I think what LB was trying to say is that Gavin Crosisca was an assistant coach at Carlton for two seasons. 2007 and 2008.

Every Assistant Coach at all the clubs now does a Certificate IV in Coaching at the AIS.

Just as a matter of interest......what part of 'no-one at the club knows anything about this rumor' wasn't clear enough for some on this thread?

You should have started your original post with something like "From what I'm hearing.." or "My source at the club..." if you wanted to be noticed..thats what everyone else does

Just because he played his first year at Brisbane all those years ago doesn't really qualify Buckley as having been involved at a successful club. They hadn't won jackshit at that stage.

Good to know every asst at the club has certificate iv in coaching, its a right step towards becoming more professional.

I did qualify my statement about Monty. Maybe you should read the complete post first.

Montgomery - he is our backline coach isn't he?? Is that the same backline coach who let Bower start every contest against against Reiwolt from behind when we played StKilda earlier in the year - if you man up with Reiwolt with your forearm in his back, he will ALWAYS lead you to the ball and take easy chest marks - how could Montgomery not have seen that and corrected Bowers tactics. Is he also the same backline coach that left Bower of Bradshaw in the Brisbane final - which probably cost us the game. Montgomery only has to concentrate on one aspect of the game - backline effectiveness - and he failed to address several very very obvious shortfalls - I am very sceptical as to whether he is up to the task.

Maybe, but on matchdays who's decisision is it to move Bower :?: Mr Montgomery's or Mr Ratten's :?:

Ultimately Rattens - hopefully based on input/advice of Montgomery. However - its 100% (or maybe 90%) Montgomerys role to identify where his backmen are adopting the wrong defensive tactics against their opponents. If he is not/cannnot do that - what is he doing there?

Calm down 2center, while your post was quoted, the comment was a general one directed at everyone who kept discussing the issue after CM indicated that there did not appear to be any truth to the rumour.

would this be the same Montgomery who has seen Bower improve dramatically this year and finish 7th in the B&F?

Yeah and like we have ever paid attention to someone who might know something about something. Never ever let the truth get in the way of a good rant or a juicy rumour.
