I can handle variables. Problem is, I'm seeing a constant every year.

They're your tears.

I can only assume that you guys calling for blood to be spilled have never got any joy from watching Fev play for the blues over the years. No joy from watching him win games off his own boot, kicking 6 goals in a half of football to get us over the line, taking on Essendon* and collingwood by himself basically. During the darkest period of the club, he won us a Wizard cup, 8 goals and bog in the final, was BOG for the Big V last year (hope none of you enjoyed watching him towel rutten)...again hope none of you took any pride in watching this.

You would be a pack of hypocrites if you did.

I can also assume that none of you will be paying any attention to tonights John Nicholls medal. Was it John Nicholls who had to be let out of jail on weekends so he could play football? Is Fev in jail? hmmm...

I can also hope that none of you supported the blues in the days of the Dominator, when he was carving it up...hang on, the same dominator that enjoyed himself a little too much off the field? and in recent times with mr carey?

Even Diesel, has had some ordinary business dealings since leaving football...off the field stuff again...

You are calling for Sticks to sack him, the same sticks that launched into an attack, rightly or wrongly, on journalists the other year at our function, which was ridiculed across the media afterwards...did you call for his head? did he embarrass you???

You call yourselves supporters of the Carlton Football Club...see the middle word there? Football. Thats right. These blokes are paid to play a game. To chase a leather ball around a field. But they should all be model citizens right? Why? Because of the pedestal that you clowns put them on!

I for one hope that I get to continue to see Fev kick some amazing goals for us over the next few years. I am a supporter of Carlton, has Fev's actions embarrassed me? not a chance. Everyone has a life outside their job, rightly or wrongly, they make their own decisions.

If you cant take that a guy makes some mistakes maybe you should cease to follow sport..because have a look, there wouldnt be too many that you of all such high morals and living the life of a model citizen (obviously you are because you would never make mistakes then call for fev to be sacked for his) could follow...cricket would be out, soccer out, rugby out...

Get a life and give the guy a break. He loves playing for Carlton and he does it so damn well. Better than any of you ever will.

So i've read up here, and come up with the following.

We trade Fev or we keep him..... My question is this, who is our next Grand Final premiership full forward?

I see more in our quest for a flag with Fev. The guy has a binge alchohol problem. I'm sure he could be helped through this for the next 3 or so years. That being the case one can only hope this type of behaviour doesn't continue into his mid 30's. His eldest daughter would be embarrassed. I see his children as his saviour.

If this is as bad as it gets for him i'd rather keep him.

Next ....... :thanks:

Warwick Capper was incredible to watch in his day - Made fev look 2nd rate

Took hangers booted bags and bags of goal - played up to the crowds and who could ever forget the blond locks and tight shorts

He was still a D1ckhead

If we don't do something about this NOW, we WILL be talking about Fev and his indiscretions AGAIN in 12 months' time or less.

This is the same old shit over and over again.

Fev: I've made the decision to go off the grog. I know I become a flower when I drink. I know I'm a better person and player if I get off the grog. I've let the club and the boys down. I want to repay them. BLAH BLAH BLAH...

We've heard it all before. He says he's sorry and that he'll change. Everyone forgives him and loves him again because he's a magnificent superstar of the comp AND he plays for us. But for gods sakes, this has to stop at one point or another.

!@#$%& hell, surely he knows how much his 15 yr old brain is hurting the club, his colleagues and his supporters. Same old shit every year...

Dude, there will be something to cry about in 12 months time, 2 years time, 5 years time, 12 years time.

It's human nature. The cause of the crying changes but the tears will be just as salty.

Just ask Stephen Milne. Whether it's rape allegations or a premiership medal gone begging, the tears taste the same.

And how'd the Swans go when he moved on to Brisbane?

I am angry with Fev, but Fev is far superior to Capper. Maybe if Fev put out a song like this he may get some forgiveness.

Swans were at the end of a golden run when they ditched Capper we are looking at the beginningthey missed their chance by relying on a goose

But more importantly how did Capper go when he went to Brissy

Are you aware you're on a supporter's site and not a former player's site? Maybe you thought you had wandered onto a forum at the Spirit of Carlton????

I reckon this is as weak a point as can possibly be made on a site like this. If it had any validity, then we'd have to be happy if we still had a team with Harford, Clarke, Prenda, Brett Johnson, Murray Vance, Ackland, Angwin and Ricky Mott. I'm sure they've all played better games for Carlton than every poster on this site too.

With the loud applause at the B & F at the very mention of Fev's name and calls to keep him by some in the crowd I think people power will keep him there. Could be a backlash, especially membership-wise, if he was let go. Sounds like a very popular boy.

There's the small matter of a big contract too.

With some of stuff being written on here I'm doubting as to if it is actually a supporter's site...

Nice speech ... but its a naive speech

Give the guy a break???

How many?

And he wouldnt be playing for Carlton if we didnt buy our memberships or care about the club...

So ... if you believe the imporant thing about the club is the players alone......youre as thick as a brick....

Fev wont be playing at some stage ... does that mean we shouldnt watch the footy???

And if we didnt watch the footy.... why have a team???

Fev has a responsibility to the club .... which includes us...

Are you an idolatrist??

Do you follow Fev or the club???

The same Fev that embarassed Judd.. other players.. other offficials.. Swann.. and girlfreinds...???

Who the @#$%&! is Fev to do that????

What do you mean a hypoctite????

You know..... heres a story you might not know... when the leadership group gave a week to the 3 players a month ago for boozing... Fev weilded the decisive vote....

Now thats a hypocrite of a club leader...!!!

Youd think he would know better.... and what he did was a zillion times worse... for the upteenth time...

So what do we do with club leader Fev???

It seems pretty clear to me that the club's going to sit on this for a bit, while throwing in the odd token gesture (Fev not going to the B&F, I don't for a second believe that was his call alone), wait for the hysteria to die off and then keep him on board. Followed by Fev being remorseful, admitting he has a problem and wanting help, the club making a tough stance, and you know the rest.

I have always thought that the football media were a pretty pathetic bunch. Generally incompetent, badly researched and unqualified to make the moral and ethical calls they seem to trot out routinely. But you have to give them credit where it is due. It may have taken them a while but they have managed to slowly condition and influence the football public in general to succumb to the belief that they are the group of people that are qualified to set and preach moral and ethical standards whereby footballers are required to live their everyday lives and that we should all be entitled to expect from them.
They are the modern day Moses and they have been spoken to by God and delivered us the footballing Ten Commandments!
We are all caught up with it, the football media and public and sadly even the club. Yep, fev is a terrible drunk. A buffoon and an obnoxious idiot when he is on the grog. Last time I checked, not criminal offences. I don’t expect footballers to live by a different set of laws and standards compared to others in society but others do.
Tonight I saw a glimpse of the news and there are camera crews at Brendan’s front door, stalking him like a paedophile, waiting for him to step out when he eventually needs to get some milk or sliced bread for his kids so they can hound him for all the terrible things he has done. Yep folks, he got drunk and made a dick of himself. The sheer horror of it all! Ofcourse he should be hounded like a criminal. One of the so called journalists even proudly suggested that he can’t hide in there forever, he has to come out eventually! FFS!!!
Is all this fallout justified for a footballer who only ever wanted to play on the big stage and have some fun? It’s a disgrace. There may be a ravenous market out there for this gutter journalism and that may justify this carry on but I certainly won’t be feeding it. I’ll be honest, I am a huge Fev fan. He has given me tremendous joy as a Carlton member for many years. AFAIC, he is on par with Sticks, Diesel, Dominator & Kouta in terms of players that I have admired and loved to watch in my time as a supporter. I will be devastated if all the suggestions that he leaves Carlton are true.
In an ideal world I would’ve preferred he didn’t behave the way he did but FFS talk about over exaggerations!

I think it is time to finaly part ways while the list is still relatively young and has it's best chance to adapt to life without Fev......

Dick Pratt will be rolling around in his grave.....How I wish he were still around
