The Dogs would take him in a heart beat...a few other clubs would too I suspect. I dont get people on this site at times, you think nobody wants Fev, then head over to TalkingRecruitment and Sam Jacobs is worth a 1st round pick apparently :donk:

The Bulldogs and Swans would most definitely take him. The Swans almost had him over the line last time

as mentioned earlier.. hes going to be put up for trade.. dont doubt that if we get anything resembling sufficient value hes gone.. otherwise he's staying but will have some serious changes to his contract and off field work.
as i said, were going to make him sweat a bit through trade week..
but synners is right salary cap is a significant consideration-- he eats up a lot of it and if we were to sack him his compensation would come under that cap for next year-- one suggestion is to keep him on the list and not let him play games.. similiar to an indefinite suspension.

Backended contract aiming to pay him big once he was on vet list will also cause issues.

What happened to with Cuzzies contract when WC had to send him away?

For the record i think 4 weeks in the twos next year and a few tasks to prove he wants to play for the Blues fits the crime (what i know of it)....................wouldnt dismiss a trade if it was a win for the club but that was the case before he got drunk and sang. Think a new look forward line wouldnt be such a bad thing

Will always love watching fev play footy though.

surely as a club we cant be seriously thinking of offloading fevola for this little incident! and thats what it is! despite what the little reptiles in the media will have us believe. He didn't bash a taxi driver. he wasn't found with pills in his house. he wasn't out shooting up the town with christopher hudson. has anyone else noticed fev's only gotta pick his nose and certain sections of the media call for him to be sacked! we'll pi#s off! we've invested to much in him now to lose him for this! but FFS fev give up the piss!!! we dont have any hope of winning a cup in the next 4 years without him..

Smithy if what im hearing has some truth to it, I have no doubt you'll be pretty disappointed with it but it has not been been reported so at the moment its al hear say.

I'm hearing that some at the club have spent there GF weekend getting all the information they can before making a decision (if it hasn't been already made) before the board meeting.

I just dont get this line of thinking.
Some posters here will forgive everything and anything because a bloke can kick a @#$%&! football. The man is a first class flower. The only mistake this club made was not offloading him when he had greater value.

I feel sorry for Fev. He acts without thinking and when he screws up, I dont doubt his remorse but it's not enough. He wont change.
As Synbad says, the greatest pity is the effect his reckless behaviour will have on his life. Fev will end up with nothing.

The sad thing here is that nobody wins, or if they do it will be after enormous pain and uncertainty.

Fev  :banghead:

BV i think some people are more interested in how Fev impacts them personally.
He isnt harming them .. or their wife/gf.... he isnt embarassing their child.. or parent.. or sister... or brother...
... its not their company sponsoring.. or brand being trashed... its not them that has to tidy up behind him....
... hes not their husband or their father...

so apart from watching him kick 3.5 goals they dont care...

but for fev its more than footy.... in reality his life is on the cusp of downfall.... and the club cant help him if its not recognised as a problem...

and i think alcohol is a massive problem in todays Australian society...

Someone said "it the australian way".... but it isnt...

Being fair dinkum to those around you including your wife kids and family as well as teammates is the Australian way...

being blind ... is just an excuse to be a loser.. but pretend its ok to be one...

Even when this guy's on the park his value's so unpredictable. Singing the club song at the start of Q4 in the Elimenation Final is dumb for a 28 year old. Pumping himself up instead of doing the team thing. If he's a leader as some posters say others would follow right? Cost us a Finals victory in the end.
Then remorse as he sits on the ground at the end of the game head down, oblivious to team mates.
Two weeks later, at it again getting in everyone's face and intimidating senior people in football and the media at the AFL's night of nights...

Trade him.

For the bleeding hearts a reality check might actually help him as a person. Which might help us get a better deal for him.

This is High Noon for Sticks' Presidency.
Will the antiJudd be allowed to continue to dominate Carlton Football Club?
Will the Club back fellas like Murph and Juddy to lead the Club?
Am a fan of Sticks and sure he won't come up with a wet lettuce leaf.
If he does I will spend the next few years looking forward to Fevola's retirement.

I agree with Synbad. What Fevola wants to do in his private life has nothing to do with my life and quite frankly is irrelevant. I support Carlton and it's what happens on the field that's important. In 20 or 30 years time hopefully I and the CFC will still be around, long after Judd, Murphy and Fevola have gone.

Members also need to have a good understanding on what happens off the field too because we have voting rights.

Agree with that....he needs some help with his drinking habits and lifestyle.
I have been a supporter but my patience has ended....the selfish part of me looks at his 80-100 goal ouput and says keep him. But he deserves the same as every other player and no one individual is more important than the club. The fans love him for the good things he does but the bad aspects of his behaviour have taken over and its impacting on the club too much.

Maybe he needs to be traded to save himself and the club need to show it is not weak and results driven....
I would support him being offered up in trade week and back Greg Swann if he can get a respectable deal done....
