Like most Im disappointed with Fev - Acutally probably more so for my step daughter who idolises him.
Yes he makes mistake but FFS he got pissed at the Brownlow like he has before and had a mic in hand etc etc.
They bloke aint the sharpest tool in the shed but he sure as hell wears his Blue heart on his sleve and I am sick of all the bullshit poltical correctness people here want to assume.
Heres a couple of things.
Val Perovic - Legend - also has a plaque commemorating a massive sesson on the piss.
The Dominator - Any real Blue knows the true story.
Kernahan - Stand by your man - Well after all your other @#$%&! ups you should.
I may seem wrong to suggest what he did wasnt wrong it certainly was - but at the end of the day we will never win a premiership until we are a team and by team i mean an tight tight unit .
Fev [REDACTED] up and Id imagine he is pretty down on himself - if we are any sort of club we will let him know about it but we will also help him .

Basically what im saying is at the end of the day other the one slightly dubious occasion they only bloke Fev hurts is himself and our reputatuon.
There have been a lot worse at our club who have bought us into disrepute.

well said , fact is he only hurt himself, who flower cares if he boozed up, that cooney didnt look to healthy either.

what he did is kindergarten stuff compared to those jerks at collingwood who got caught drink driving . and any normal parent who has a kid that looks up to fev will surely tell the kid from right and wrong in this world. when fev makes an ass of himself thats wrong , when fev kicks 8 goals, helps sick kids in hospital and donates to charity thats good and if CH9 thought it was so bad they wouldnt have aired any of it nor mentioned it on the show. Fev is and will always be a Blueboy and will be there when we win a flag and i hope he stands up on that stand , kisses his medallion and tells all the do gooder PC folks to kiss his right royal ass.

When will we learn that just because the past is littered with indiscretions, then anything that happens now is ok?

it's not. The world hopefully learns from it's mistakes.

CARLTON

WE will be bigger, better and a tighter group in 2010.

We have had some serious setbacks in the naughties, and thank god the first decade is over.

Perhaps Fev may become a real leader without having to be officially in the leadership group. I believe he will. His window is smaller by the year, and will be over in the next 2-3 years.

Juddy may start to hark up a bit more and demand the type of discipline, commitment and desire needed to win the next flag in the short term. The kids are all good kids; just introverted being the main criticism.

I love the list we have. With everyone fully fit and on the park with another preseason under the belt of the kids (the majority) we are going to see a few more surprise packets like Joseph, Armfield and Garlett pop up. Imagine if just those 3, along with Yarran and Robinson take the next step in 2010.

Look, its been a rough week, and following today's GF all the talk will be about the premiers, why they won and why the opposition lost, and what other teams are knocking on the door. This will be followed up by Trade talk and Trade week, which will be followed by the Draft and the PSD. Then it'll be the xmas break.

Following the xmas break, players will be judged on the state of their bodies and minds following the break. Then the media will be judging all teams in the preseason and making predictions for 2010, not discussing the Bropwnlow week.

We have to take the next step in 2010.
We are expected to take the next step in 2010.
We are Carlton and we will be stronger and better as a team and club moving forward.
We will take the next step

As far as I'm concerned, we are the best club in the land when you look at our premiership cupboard, with all the champions, and the list of upcoming 20 year olds; 2 of our 20 year olds were in the top 10 in the Brownlow in 2009.

Look forward, not back. Let bygones be bygones.

The next decade will be remembered as Carlton's Golden decade, and the antics of a few from the first decade of the naughties will be insignificant.

Move forward Carltonians.
Move forward together on the same page and the same goal.
It's about us and the next flag, and the one after that in our Golden decade not this week's media story.

Keep a calm palm
And a cool tool
Watch Carlton
And Watch the rise in the Levis

Forget the media sideshow and remember that 13 wins could have easily been 16 or 17.

Theres no reason why we cant aim for something like that in 2010.

I think yr mixing up our old champs. Percy Daykin (1914/1915 premiership player) was the boozehound. Used to have absinthe drinking comps with Dame Nellie Melba and Warwick Armstrong.

The great Bert Deacon was fond of the opium pipe, a habit he picked up in Burma during the war. That's right. White Lotus. Yam-yam. Shanghai Sally.

PS the above is silly satire. Or is it parody? - Daykin of course invented Australia's first air conditioner which his firm fitted into the great picture palaces of the day, and Deacon was a pious church administrator whose sole vice was illicit assignations with his parishioners' wives.

No that's not true either. But there were stories I tells ya! And when they come out they'll be dynamite!
