Has anything been anounced by the club or Jordan?

I doubt any announcement will be made until the Bullants have finished playing.

Bannister was nothing more than a backup player at AFL level, he had some great games, especially on The Chad.

Destroyed Buckley on at least one occasion too.

Kicked Braddy Johnson's butt on a few occassions as well.

Banno was a good footballer, but was never going to be great. Unfortunately, in this day and age, "good" footballers are seen as expendable.

Good luck if you do move on, Banno.

Maybe interstate for the boak deal :)

Helped us out in the dark years, unfortunately he isn't at the level we need to take us to the flag. Mind you, there is a few more that are hanging on and should be axed.

Doering...

Bannister...

Russell...

Why on earth did we ever think we'd strike gold picking footballers named after a pair of double F implants? :?

Has been a good servant during very dark times. Probably the last of the 'Foreign Legion' (except Stevo) Pagan and co brought over, and we've gotten our money's worth.

Would like to keep him in the ants if we can (but not Carlton listed of course).

LOL I love it how we sugarcoat a player's limited ability by calling them a "great bloke" or "great clubman".

To be blunt: Jordan Bannister is not a great footballer.

To be blunt: that is not a great post

But its the truth....Im just speaking my mind, some people these days cant do this because they will be deemed to be politically incorrect.

Nothing to do with being politically incorrect. Because you are 'speaking your mind' doesn't necessarily mean it is the truth.

But your post does reveal, indisputably- that you have no class. Try acknowledging a bloke that has done his best for the club over a number of years, some of them pretty bloody bleak.

You don't have to be a poster-boy champion to deserve respect.

AFL is a brutally tough business, and Bannister has done well to be one of the last on the list from the foreign legion days.

There are plenty of players that might have done better if they had the right opportunity.

Theres also plenty of unfairness in football already - without making it even harder - so its only fitting to give them a good wrap when their time is over - irrespective of how good they may or may not have been.

Good on you Banno - I'd rather be a great bloke and to have played 67 games of AFL, than a shit bloke to have played none.

I hope you continue in footy and have great success  .
