Exactly what will this peanut do when his playing days are over?

Walk up and down Swanston St. with a dildo hanging out of his dacks ?

Doubt the Melbourne City Council would enlist his services to do that.

Make no mistake, if a club comes to Carlton with a realistic trade proposal, the club will give it
serious consideration.
Personally, I'm sick of this moron trashing the reputation of the CFC.....AGAIN !!!!!

What's it matter what Fevola is up to in five year's time? Why are you even worried? :?

Cloke, Garlett and Betts all copped a one week ban. How would they feel we all know banning them from football is worse then a fine.

We can't have different rules for different players easy to make a statement that the club doesn't tolerate this kind of behavior anymore.

At end of the day I dont care what Fev does outside of CFC yet I expect every player to be treated equally weather you are a rookie, star forward or captain.

We are playing football like the club is run as individuals

In case you haven't read http://www.carltonfc.com.au/newsarticle ... fault.aspx

While Brendan is officially on holidays he was representing the Carlton Football Club and the AFL at Monday night's function and much of his behaviour, particularly at the post Brownlow function, was totally unacceptable

So with your logic Fev hasn't broken any rule just like Gibbs didn't break any rules on Brownlow night why didnt we fine him $10,000

A 6 yr old boy wearing a number 5 Carlton jumper, and i ask him if Judds his favourite player, he replies with,

" yeah I like Judd!, but i used like Fevola, but he is always drunk and all my friends used to make fun
of me cause he always gets drunk and gets in trouble. So i like Judd now, my friends dont make fun of me anymore".

Is this the message that we want to deliver to our younger generation of supporters ?

There's a time and place to get on the turps a F#@% around. When representing
the club at any function, maybe time to pull the head in.

That article doesn't specify anything.

How do you know what went on behind the decision to suspend Betts, Garlett and Cloke? How did it differ to the decision to fine Fevola? Why was Fevola suspended in 2007 and not fined?

How did you explain the 3 match suspension to the boy? Or did you sweep it under the carpet?

Proper behaviour at corporate events/official functions has been an issue in thousands of workplaces, and a lot of people have been fired or lost potential promotions because of how they've behaved at an official business function. I don't care if Fev goes out in the off-season with some mates, gets on the turps and acts like a tool. However, just as if I did it at work event, Fev should be hauled over the coals for it.

Fev's issue is that he has already had Footy's equivalent of the three written warnings for similar behaviour. His only saving grace is that our season is over - but this just mitigates it, not excuses it.

TFS sending him out to do the interview is irrelevant. He knows he has issues in that area. He knows the media is waiting to jump all over him (especially the Herald Where the Sun don't shine). If he wants to represent the Navy Blues at official functions, he has to recognise this and act accordingly.

It is a shame for him, as he is AA, Coleman medalist and we are talking about this. Judd got 2nd place in the Brownlow, and this is the biggest Carlton story from it. I don't buy in to the whole 'role-model' footballer theory, but when representing the brand, you don't trash it.

Trading him or sacking him would be an over-reaction on what dubious public information is available, but action should be taken and the club has done so. Good. Now the club has to use this to work out how to help Fev deal with this issue so he can play at his best next year, and more importantly for his own (and family's) benefit.

Mike Sheehan said on 3aw that there will be more on Fev in the paper tomorrow and it will be on the front page.

I know they missed training because that is what the club said and the club said that this kind of behaviour will not be accepted anymore. yet a month later it is ok for Fev to make an idiot of him self and not remember what happened some more evidence for you in this article with quotes from Fev and Swanny.

http://www.theage.com.au/news/rfnews/fe ... 24652.html

get you head out of the sand Fev got off lightly compared to the other guys. Fev laughs everything off because the club treats him like a star. What happened in 2007 should be more evidence he got off lightly now because it wasn't his first offense.

Fev is not bigger then the Carlton Football Club

Everytime Fev does something stupid I hear the torch and pitchfork crowd on one side
"Sack him!"
"Trade him!"
"BUUUUUURRRRN HIMMMM!!!"

and the apologists on the other side
"He's not hurting anyone"
"We've all done it"
"Must be a slow news day"
"STFU and let the boys have some fun!"

But for me three things are important to remember:
1) Fev's already had a stipulation in his contract stating that if he gets pissed again he's gone. This stipulation may not exist anymore, but the fact that one existed to begin with speaks volumes.
2) Whether he likes it or not, in public places (specifically official functions) he is representing his football club, employer, shareholders (members), sponsors and when he makes a goose of himself in these arenas it reflects on these other people.
3) The fact that he's had a "shape up or ship out" clause in his contract, been fined countless times and been removed from the leadership group indicates he doesn't respect authority. We can bang on about the PC police all we want, but THE CLUB has a set of rules for behaviour and conduct, and with such punishments the club obviously has felt he's broken these rules. The club sets rules, he breaks them, gets punished, wash rinse repeat.

I don't give a flying @#$%&! what the media thinks of this, what the do-gooders think, or what the 'let boys be boys' crowd think. What matters to me is what the club thinks of this, and they aren't @#$%&! happy. If only the punishments actually solved the problem.
