As soon as The Filth and The Aints can't be/ are not Premiers, we all move to 5.

Well, that time may be coming for one of those teams, & soon, then we can all be a little happier

Theres no point in being stuck in the past

so it is important to move quickly to acceptance.

It will be interesting to see whether the current coach is able to take Carlton to the next stage of rebuilding - or whether someone else is needed for this task.

I went straight to 5. As much as it hurt if we got to a PF with all the deficiencies we showed in Brisbane it may have covered our defiencies looking to next year, as self-satisfaction, "over-achievement" does. The absolute pain of that type of loss will hit home that they need to be worked on. As much as I hated it, it might've been the exact type of loss we had to have. It might be the catalyst to something much bigger.

I couldn't agree with that more.

We would have been in the exact same position as Richmond back in 2001 (or whenever it was when they made the prelim), they simply topped up in their recruitment for a few years after that cos they thought they were close.

Just like them in '01 - we're not at prelim final stage in 2009..........but we will be in 2010......

We may need an extra category for the weird possibility of a Saints/Pies GF....a lose-lose situation for many of us(apologies to fans or rellies of these teams)
I just cannot find something to be happy about with either of those teams winning...except maybe in a weak moment..( )
I have a few saints friends...and I want to be happy for 'em...but...NUP.
nope...no kind feelings...nahdah.Pies?...Good Grief!!!They will never shutup!!!!!!
Please God,help those poor poor doggies to win.....and Cats.....!#@#$ do something great...many are counting on you now.

Hard to pick the worst premier out of Collingwood v Saints GF from a Carlton viewpoint - but I would prefer a Collingwood victory is this situation - only because a St Kilda loss might be more portentously significant.

But a similarly portantously significant outcome would occur in the event that Geelong or Footscray beat St Kilda.

Out of the available possibilities - A Geelong v Footscray GF would be the more preferable option.

I get some solace from knowing that Crows fans will be feeling as bad as (or worse than) us right now. But it would be oh so much better if it were filth fans feeling it.

I'll be happy if St Kilda wins.
