1. Denial — We won didn't we?We were 30 points up.

2. Anger — Sack the coach ..sack the players..sack the assistant coach

3. Bargaining —The trade talk begins.

4. Depression —(quote from Elizabeth Kuebler Ross) It is not recommended to attempt to cheer an individual up that is in this stage. It is an important time for grieving that must be processed.

5. Acceptance — Ok we lost...but...
We actually did really well this year, met our goals, and
can expect great things next year.

So which stage are you at right now?

Anger- not the right moves in last quarter, needed more run. Anger at Judd being continually held onto prior to ruck contests, anger at the contribution from certain players. Anger pretty much sums up how I feel.

Acceptance? don't think i will reach that one.

Still stuck in anger mixed in with a bit of disappointment, with a sprinking of denial.

Probably around 3 atm.

Just dont know who i would trade?

T-Bird is the only one that other teams would want but there is no way i would trade him.

Lucky i dont have to make those decisions.

Nah, already at 5- I feel the loss, as painful it was, will be the best thing for our rather laconic group. Sometimes, we can't just manufacture intensity in this group; it has to be "lived" (for want of a better description!)

I skipped denial and went straight to anger.

I think anger will come back if Lions beat dogs..cos I'll think it should've been us.
If Dogs win,I'll think,we could have beaten 'em...it should have been us.
Either way...It should've been us.
I'll have to claw my way back to stage 5 post this weekend.
Darn.

Been through so much in the past 7 years this doesn't even register...

This isn't grief. This is like "missing out on the last potato cake at the fish and chip shop" kind of grief...

Yep, I don't get it. I was more devastated by some of the unconvincing wins (the result of a failure to rebuild) post 95. You reap what you sow.

I keep on saying, I would have been at the game tonight had we gosh darn it won.

I would have been so excited.

I will be over it much better, if Collingwood get kicked out this week.

And yeh, if Brisbane lost it would be nice.

Mark my words, the best thing that came out of last Sat was Judd's 3 weeks. Ratts needs to coach without relying on 'the champ' and the midfielders need to step up. Fantastic 3 week lesson for all. Hopefully, out of the experimentation, we unearth something new.

Nice thinking. Good positive to pull out of it. A few weeks with Judd getting match fitness in the
pre-season comp, then throw the young midfielders into the deep end - see how they go. Maybe sub
Betts for Judd. Good one.

Yes, there's certainly something to that, especially on top of the hurt etched on their face.

I went straight to 5. As much as it hurt if we got to a PF with all the deficiencies we showed in Brisbane it may have covered our defiencies looking to next year, as self-satisfaction, "over-achievement" does. The absolute pain of that type of loss will hit home that they need to be worked on. As much as I hated it, it might've been the exact type of loss we had to have. It might be the catalyst to something much bigger.
