Graham Bond said Carlton's argument was based on the penalty for unreasonable contact to the face being the same as eye gouging and I think headbutting. He went on to say that this is a fair point but it is not up to the appeals board to decide that...the AFL at the end of the season decide the penalty...also said there should be a re-think on this.

Judd did not give any evidence.

It was 1 week for being stupid enough to put his hand on someones face.

+ 1 week for the stupid excuse at tulla

= 2 weeks originally offered.

+ 1 week for making the stupid decision of taking it to the Tribunal

= 3 weeks he got.

Probably should have been another week for the stupidity of appealing the tribunal decision.

Nobody at the AFL /tribunal will lose their job for this. More likely a promotion.

Something must be going on in this case that we dont know about. Looks to the rest of the world like there is nothing in it. 1 week at most. Reprimand would have been suitable punishment for such a crime.

Good on the club for sticking by their captain. One in all in i say.

1 week for a bad joke/ bad excuse ???? Havent seen that in the rule book. If i believed that true then i would go along with all this amature hour stuff.

Doc is talking about some one loosing their job at Carlton, not the AFL.

Lets be honest,

one week for putting his fingers anywhere near his face,
one week for not pleading guilty and
one week because Campbell Brown lied to the tribunal a few years ago and this is their way of getting back at Judd

Reeks of the same vindictiveness displayed in the Williams case, which led to the appeals process being created in the first place.

That probably is Judd. I know the Bombers asked Lloyd id he wanted to challenge. He said no due to the fact he actually did something. Judd would have said yes because he knows what happened.

No doubt if Judd said let challenge the club would have supported the Captain.

I still don't know what he actually did. If rischiteli got up and had scratch marks down his face, then yep, 3 weeks understandable. 1 week for putting his hands on his face, no problem. but 3 weeks for this smacks of a vindictive pack of cauliflower. I have no doubt there has been some influence from above in all this.... where's blueman... He loves a good conspiracy theory :mad:
