c'mon guys - this is Juddy - he shouldn't be subjected to the same rules as mere mortals - He's Juddy, so he should be allowed to do what he wants

Maybe it was the only way he could think of to get that Ruddster off his back.I'm pretty sure the PM stopped texting Juddy all day, because you can't be seen to like an eye gouging pressure pointing captain,if you want to get re-elected.
A very cunning plan Juddy.

Perhaps, the resultant meedyah circus  which has labelled juddy an eye gouger, is the reason we're contesting this charge? It's a too big a stigma to not challenge it and for the football world to at least here Judd's side of the story... I attribute his comments at the airport to temporary insanity after losing a winnable final... Y'know the 5 stages of grief thingamy dognammit!!

Memo to Justin Cordy.

Just in case, can we get Eddie doing some endurance running asap as I reckon he needs to do a Leon/Didak and get fit enough for the guts. Post haste. Yarran/Garlett will keep the goals ticking over......

- 3 points for 'intentional conduct'

- 2 points for 'high contact'

- 1 point for 'low impact'

can't see how any of those will be reduced... hope I'm wrong...

as I said earlier, the wording of the offence allows the MRP/AFL a lot of 'latitude'..

Judds being stitched up because it didn't 'look good', not because of the physical damage caused..

Dunno Budzy..can't help feeling he's been indicted for his comments.
it just didn't sound good.
Self Defence Pressure Points(article on web)
Quote
There are many different pressure points on the human body. There are several examples of a good self defense pressure point on just the human face. For example, place your finger on the side of your head, behind your ear lobe. There should be a slight indentation. Push hard. In about 99% of the population, this will cause a shock of pain, as well as a natural reflex of pulling back. This can make a great self defense pressure point to attack in a close attack, especially in a case of an assault.

Another self defense pressure point on the face is near the back of the temple, also right by the ear. Trace your ear from back to front. Where the front portion of your ear meets your face, that's a pressure point. Put a thumb there and push, and you'll definitely get a strong reaction from that self defense pressure point. (end quote)

According to the Courier Mail, the Afl should:
1) Outlaw the practice of pressure point contact; and
2) Ban Judd from being eligible for next year's Brownlow Medal

..well, on both counts they're right.. .. ..or rather, applying pressure point tactics is obviously a no-no.. ..so that's simple enough.. ..the whole 'suspensions gained during finals and pre-season' not effecting brownlow chances is absolutely bonkers.. ..how a player can literally do whatever they want during finals or pre-season, and still be eligible for the brownlow is a complete joke..

How come? The voting is based on rounds 1 - 22, not finals or pre-season.

..i agree that the voting only goes for the H&A season, but the idea that before, or after the H&A season we can have out and out thuggery and still be deemed best and fairest is stupid..

..i would think not, but saying where you wanted yer fingers to go, and where the vision shows them actually going may not be one and the same..

At this stage he has 20 games to poll votes were as most other players in the AFL have 22 games to poll votes :screwy:

..and your point is..?.. ..so, a player can kinghit another during pre-season, play less than a full 22 and still be judged best and fairest and thats ok..?.. ..even though said player missed games from the 22 due to suspension..

It's an odd rule about pre season and Finals suspensions not impacting on the Brownlow, given the fact that Finals indiscretions cop a double whammy at the Tribunal.

To avoid legal action. Technically they know they'd lose iof someone won and was ruled ineligible outside the 22 round season. Whoever of running the AFL at that time said that.

Probably argue that low impact is not appropriate as no damage done. raines got off for his punch to buddy despite drawing blood as it was felt impact did not warrant suspension.
