Don't know if this has been mentioned here or not, but apparently Kouta on SEN today mentioned that Carlos missed the game because he's suffering from a blood clot in his other leg (here's the BF thread), and will probably require another op to get it fixed. If this is the case I think some of us (including myself) owe Ratts and the MC an apology for our criticisms.

Hopefully he'll be right to take on the pre-season head on

It's embarrassing how quick some posters are to ridicule the coach and MC based on zero knowledge.

Perhaps Kouta needs to get a doctor certificate just to be sure that he isn't covering up for Ratts & Co.

Why you present youself fit to play

This is a worrying condition they seriously need to find out what is causing the clotting

Good luck to Setanta...hopefully he recovers...however I still can't squeeze him into my best 22 and couldn't believe it when Robert Walls described him as a 'work in progress' last night...have no doubt he will be on the trade table - but doubt there'd be any takers.

Its in the other leg apparently and a bit of a concern that it has developed again. May need to get specialist advice because this could have other more serious implications for Setanta

I'm mostly just stirring SB.

However, some people on here have short memories. I read posts on here after the game questioning Bower's pace because he got beaten on lead by Bradshaw numerous times. Yet no one seems to recall that he injured his knee and is still not right. He couldn't not put his hand up because if he didn't it'd be Thornton vs the Rest. On the one hand I agree that if you're right to play, you're right to play. But on the other hand you can't expect players who aren't 100% fit to play as if they are.

TC's slogan for 2010??

Seriously, a fan of Setanta I am; I hope we have him at Carlton next year, and wish him the best with his recovery. Particularly if he is at Carlton next year.

A few night out with Cuzzy should fix the clotting issue.

Don't go overboard Donny. Many here think that 2nd guessing Ratts and the MC is obviously a birthright on TC. The site would have about 50% less posts if that didn't happen

There's a big differance between 'coulda' and 'maybe' to 'shoulda'. Most on TC use 'shoulda' because they believe they have all the facts.

They don't.

Seriously fella, do you not get tired of being the panto baddie??

He didn't present himself fit to play, when it happened last year he was TOLD he was ok to play.
This year he has also said he is not 100% but HAS to play.

I alluded to it in another post but as Cman said it, I can say a bit more.

Same problem as last year, the artery.

As soon as people realise that intenet forums are full of armchair coaches, recruiters, players, strategists, doctors, wags, lawyers etc etc etc then you will realise forums are pretty much full of sh&t but are a great way to waste a lot of time.

If the club says a player is dropped it is reasonable for supporters to believe they have the facts and he has been dropped. Probably be reasonable for the club to say players are left out because of injury if that is the case.
