Like I said in the match thread, they have run us to 1 goal in both games this year - we leak like a sieve and they finish like a freight train against us.

I am so pissed off losing to Brisbane whom I fraking hate, and now have to hear about how good Brisbane are for the rest of the week and year.

Oh, and thank you Eddie, Jeff and Clokey for 'sleeping in' and sending us to Brisbane - thank you big time.

Being overrun like that from a side with how many underdone players?? Piss poor

Black and Bradshaw were hardly underdone.

We were beaten by these two and Brown, which is no great surprise. I'd take a loss in this game to win a close one in next year's finals. It's not our time, but should be over the next 3 years.

No they won't, most of the players do not even care, they will be on the grog tonight for a few weeks and then come back as if nothing happend

We need a new coach who will not play dumb football, Blight is right

If Voss coached us we would of won by 10 goals tonight

At least I didn't travel to the game. Now that is a LONG drive home for those that went.

So Wallace was right eh? When the momentum swung in the second and again in the last we couldn't shut it down.

Poor decision making and lack of composure e.g crap kicks to opposition players with none of our blokes within cooee. This allowed them to rebuild and move the ball into their forward line with ease. Same thing happened last time we played them. This is what cost us the game.....plus the decision not to take Daniel Rich ahead of Yarren.

I stand to be crucified however....the knobs that made this decision should be saked. I don't care how good Yarren is in two years time, it was a very poor choice!!!!!!!!

Shows our deficiency in the backline badly and how 1 player focused our forward is....

Disagree, Cam was a solid secondary target and really surprised me tonight.

Backline was undermanned, that was a selection mistake. Burning out our better players before the middle of the last was a woeful decision.

What a load of rubbish!

Our backline has always struggled against Brown and Bradshaw.

There was nobody else to bring in GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!

You can blame the selectors all you like but if you don't have the cattle???.

Setanta could have been tried. The result of that: who knows? Wiggins had some woeful periods dropping back on their leads and fumbled the ball regularly. He had his good moments too.

Effes wrote:
What do you mean burning them out Jim?

Judd, Stevens and Scotland's petrol tickets were spent about a third of the way through the last. They developed that lead in what had been an absolute physical scrap.

Those are the old heads we needed in midfield in the last 10 minutes of the game. Instead they were either on the bench or completely flat. Taking out three excellent decision makers hurt us big time.

Yep, cause we would have beaten the Crwos for sure with those 3 in :donk:

Why cant we find left footers who have that smooth, slingshot action that send the pill low and hard and 50+ metres down the line?
Some of Grigg's kicks tonight ridiculously bad. Even Simmo doesn't have a classic action

Our main weakness is the spillage around a contest. We tend to let it spill out after being tackled. It is much better to give away a free for holding the ball than panicking about the potential umpires decision. It was really evident against the crows and was somewhat evident in crucial times.

The modern game tends to be about minimising mistakes as then punishing turnovers with intense speed and movement.

Give it a week once the passion has moved from the blood and we then need to do the analysis. Who hasn't got it, who still is learning as well as ability and who are our champions going forward. Each year we need to look at turning over at least 10% of our list.

Positive if there is one is pick 11
Shattered, gutted, numb and heartbroken - I can't believe it.
We'll learn from this but it is a long way back to this point.
What a season you have to be proud of the boys for their efforts in making it this far.
Still alot of dead wood in this team which will hopeful get sorted out in the offseason.
