Good to see grigg in!!

Bad luck to browne and Johnson but I didn't think they deserved to keep their spots.

Massive game for the three amigos, particularly cloke. Really needs to step up.

Setants and yarran unlucky to miss

Does this mean that Cloke automatically gets a new one year contract?

Cloke and Grigg had better seize their opportunity...I would have preferred Setanta as he can play bacl or forward.

Cloke can only play forward. If I see him in teh ruck I may have to turn off teh TV and pop a handfull of valiums. He will get slaughtered by Clark if he goes anywhere near the ruck.

Grigg...getting the pill is one thing, using it another.

Yazz a bit stiff methinks.

Oh well, it's done now, let's see how it pans out.

Go Blues.

Why is Grigg in there if he hasnt been setting the world on fire in the bullants?

Lions playing mind games, this usually never works for anyone apart from Sir Alex Ferguson

Wouldve loved to see us put 206 in instead of Cloke.. Would have been a massive risk but potentially very high return

I can not believe we are going to go in with this small a backline. Surely the Irishman must come in to play back. I realise he is not the best one on one defender, but play him on brown or bradshaw and release either Thornton or Bower to play third man up, a role they both do well. Unfortunately neither of them are fantastic defenders one on one.

I just don't the logic, I would rather see Walker play CHF, drop Cloke and bring in Irish, just makes far more sense.

I realise Grigg had a good game for the ants last week, but consistent form it has not been. He is a very lucky boy.

Let's just hope that our midfield smashes them, otherwise our backline will be under some serious pressure, and we all saw what happens then last week against the crows.

I realise there is no point, but geez we miss jamo and waite. Would completely change the context of this game, they would be worried about our two big forwards, bower would play third man. Such a different game!!

Good luck boys, finals matter, they should not be taken for granted. Your pathetic effort last week cost us blues fans in your home town a chance to watch you, make us proud and we will see you next week against the pussycats!

No, it was regular season games I believe.

We have no tall defensive options; we are absolutely boned if it's dry. Cloke's so-called ruckwork got him in the team, would have rathered Warnock or Jacobs and shot Kreuzer forward. Grigg had entered my thoughts, but he better do a job the other way. Garlett is a gamble, but the logic is there.

Ratts if we lose, I want a tactical dissertation of these changes, because buddy, you won't be using them again.

We need Grigg fit and firing. Watched him against Frankston last week and he looks a class and a half above VFL level, moves well. If his disposal is on he's worth the selection. Either way, much prefer him to Johnson.

Cloke for Setanta.....oh the irony.

Short again in the back half, Irish must play as the swingman option, because Kruze, Cloke and Shaun can't.

lets say all those Lions players who Voss said wouldnt play get through, then I am insulted. How stupid does Voss think the football world is? To come on out on Monday and declare there is little chance all in question wont play, acting like he is this modern, honest and to the point kind of person, and to actually believe that his mind games have any sort of significance in the way Carlton are preparing for the game is astonishingly foolish.

If those players in question play, Voss has made an idiot of himself, I am looking forward to hear the great stories of miraculous recoveries and how to beat the odds against injury blah blah blah crap.

Agree with you there. No Jammo, no Waite, no Austin ... surely you'd want Carlos tehre to give you options.

I'm guessing his inclusion is the MC looking beyond this year. He'd be considered as an integral part of this developing team going forward and they want to get finals experience into him.

That's actually a reasonable chance given his black eye from the weekend. But if true, a very Sheedy-esque tactic and shows Ratts is just trying to do to Voss what he thinks Voss is doing to him. Going tit-for-tat is just falling into the mind games...
