Shame most of us can't see it (final) live but we sleep in the bed we made...

...that said, we're good enough to beat them up there and it's back home for week 2.

My cousin is a Lions fan and we've agreed all year that the two teams are eerily similar. They rely on a single forward target too much, but consciously playing to avoid that can cost them games - so they need to be aware of finding other targets without focussing on it.....

The last two weeks have shown they have steel - they have been challenged by teams and could easily have lost - so no matter how they played in the game, they have been smart when it counts.

My verdict - whoever turns up to play - and then there's a good chance that team will win quite heavily as both teams are happy to have made the finals but are tired.

You know when your getting desperate when you pinning your hopes on another team winning and players getting injured.

5th spot was ours for the taking and we got smashed.

Doggies or pies can't play Friday night
So that means the Friday night game is either bomber v crows or blues v lions
do they let South Australians out on Friday night

More importantly Simon Black pulled his hamstring - looks ordinary

Saw the interview with him after the game.......he reckons it is just "old age" and he will be right next week.

Anyway fingers crossed Bradshaw, Merrett and Drummond don't come up.

At our end I'd bring in Grigg and Betts..... not sure which two to omit but Johnson would be one of them.

First final in 8 years...and we have to have it at the Gabba.

Hope you're happy boys.

Let's put this into perspective.
TC can be the best place after a win, but the worst after a loss.

We have made the finals for the first time since 2001. Well done!! No team wins the premiership from their first finals appearance after such a long time, so let's be happy we are there. Every final is experience for the future. I understand we want more, but let's look at this as it is.

The game won't be in Melbourne. We won't have our best possible side in. Bad Fev played today (despite kicking 5). Our best, other than Gibbs, were quiet. But it's all a learning experience.

Let's enjoy this for what it is - a final, our first for ages. Against a team we play well against, even on their home turf.

A young team may well be bitten by what happened today. But youngsters, especially Gen Y, have an amazing ability to ignore the bad, and focus on the good. Our young boys will play their hearts out next week, and I can't wait to watch it. Whether it is watching it live for some, or on tv for others, I can't wait.

Love the pressure, bring it on :!:

Personally, I'm ecstatic.

If we have to rely on a home ground advantage to win a final, we aren't a realistic attempt at winning the flag anyway. We are pretty much guaranteed to play our remaining finals in Melbourne if we are to win next week, and I may not get the chance to see Carlton play another final any time soon, so I'll be enjoying this as much as I can :)
