Firstly - I agree with the decision.

The speculation has already started. They were on the turps, they didn't show at all etc etc.

It is all very well to say the club will release a detailed statement tomorrow but why would they rush to get the news out tonight without having the statement ready? This sort of stuff just breads more innuendo and IMO makes us look more silly.

Wasn't there similar speculation about Houlahan earlier this year?

Just tell the whole story, dish out the penalties and lets get on with beating Adelaide.

Hardly significant outs - very happy the club is taking this stance- should have with some senior players earlier in the year but perhaps the message is getting across now.

Let's hope that the status of the players had no part to play in making the club's decision "easier".

Totally agree with the stance taken but..... would they have done it if it was Fev, Gibbs & Simpson?

Jake Niall was on 3AW tonight and he was going to break the story however SEN and the HUN got wind of it and ran with it immediately so maybe the club was caught off guard in relation to the media statement..

You don't think announcing it just as they announce that Buddy Franklin's been suspended for two weeks was such a good idea...?

OK - fair enough then. I just hope they come clean tomorrow. Covering up is a thing of the past and any attempt by the club to hide the facts would be very stupid.

You, or i, or anyone else don't need to know the full story. All you need to know is they've been suspended for breaking team rules.

The vast majority of people who follow Carlton don't belong or hang around forum chat rooms. They'll see in the paper why they've been suspended and just get on with it. I think you should too.

Congratulations to the club for taking a stand.

I have now clicked the add foe button for the second time ever, seriously.... :garthp: x 1 000 000

Looking at the situation from a match perspective its not that bad...

Cloke... fringe at best.
Garlett... just breaking into the team....Gives Yarran who is in good form a shot.
Eddie... Hasn't been playing as well as he should, possibly playing with an injury, and could do with a week off.

You have your opinion I'll have mine. Most intelligent people who follow football will read between the lines. Others will be happy to swallow everything the club says.

We expect the players to be professional - well so should the club.

Sticks and half the 95 Premiership Side were at todays the "Women @ the Alfred - Chairman's Lunch in support of Prostrate Cancer".

But yes disappointing form from these boys and this close to our first finals campaign in 8 years - hope the message gets through.

It seems the club is damned if they did and damned if they didn't.
