Minimal change. This is our finals side and we want it as settled as possible.

Cloke would be an unlucky omission but Hammo is much more competitive in hitouts and his pace gives a bit of an X factor. Warnock shouldn't be considered till next year when he has a serious preseason under his belt. He has hardly played this year and most of his previous experience is in the WAFL. Let him show us what he can do next year when fully match fit.

Robbo is gone which is disappointing. Gives a chance to Yarran, Gartlett, Browne or Grigg. I'd go Grigg as we need as much midfield grunt as we can get.
No resting players, they can sit on the bench if we are going well. Players are playing for a finals spot so I'd expect a big win over the Dees. We cannot afford to lose and they certainly can't afford to win. Their last win over Carlton cost them Natanui - a bad mistake they wouldn't want to repeat.

I'd go Grigga for Robbo, he's shown he can mix it at the highest level and maybe a spell in the Ants will have the "Stevo/JR" effect. Yazz/Garlett/Browney next in line - no wonder we're pushing for top 4!

IMHO, Warnock is our depth ruckman for 2009, he's behind Hammer. Very handy depth ruckman, though.

Loved Ratts' response to a stupid question about whether Judd is overrated (because some bogans and no-shows sms'd as such)

Paraphrased:
"Run a poll of whether they'd take him if he went to their club"

If you don't win I'll kill Chris Judd and Matthew Kruezer.
End of story.

my only fear with playing 206 is that we may be forced to keep him in the following week against the crows, against whom i wouldnt want anyone sub-100% fitness. . .

Grigg is an interesting one, i'd lost a little faith in him this year. . I'd give yarran a go before him, however grigg's extra year or so experience and better body shape would be better suited come finals time. .

Being at footy park last weekend, i thought cloke's game was ok. . 8decent marks. . .3 of which contested pack marks with cornes behind him (a guy who apparently warranted a vote?. . Please!!). .however his 4hitouts and 3 clangers i didnt notice and maybe if hammer is fit put him in instead.

Eddie's had an ordinary month, could be rested but how much do we wanna screw the pooch and change a good thing?

My changes:

Robbo/austin
Cloke/ hampson (if fit)
Wiggins (heard he's a little sore)/browne (only if wiggo out)

206 appears to have hurt his foot based on what Ratts said, so unlikely to come in at all.

Although Ratts could be lying to ease him into his first game of the year.

I heard the presser and I didn't end with the same conclusion as you DUC.

I thought he was talking about Robbo. I may be wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

Can someone pour water over the suggestion that Warnock's foot is suspect?

I got the impression that Warnock is building up and he may break into the team without any AFL games during the seaon come finals time.

bb you might right as I can't hear these things at work. I was relaying what another poster said in another thread. So you could be right as someone else said the same thing.

Yeah, I don't think Warnock is re-injured. Fev on MMM seems to think Warnock's a chance this week. Although Ratts also did say on radio that Warnock probably won't be in this week, but does not mean he will not be in consideration this season.

Ah...the mind games are starting for the finals. Bring it on! Woo hoo!

One change for me, out:Robinson(inj), in:Yarran

I do get the feeling the chief Wiggins might make way for Chris Johnson. I don't agree with it but it might happen.

I would like to see Grigg in the side, but having seen him last week playing for the Bullants, he was no good at all, so does not

deserve promotion.

Anderson could be another in, however I ask the question can we have Armfied, Joseph and Anderson all in the side, very

similar types.

One thing about playing at the Bullants....it would be like playing in quicksand...

shithouse conditions....

Not many actually play well there... even if they do make the side again....

I'm thinking Grigg or Yarran in for Robbo. Grigg probably has the physicality, Yarran the stage to shine.

Hi Guys,

Little whisper on team changes for this week.

IN:Ando, Yarran/Garlett (decision not yet made on which one) and maybe Warnock but they are hesitant about bringing him in.

OUT: Armfield (ankle) Robbo (foot) and Cloke if they take a punt on Warnock

Hammer to be given 1 more week to fully recover from his back injury.
