I have done the predictor a few times and it seems to me quite plausible?

St Kilda v Collingwood prelim (Collingwood could win)

and

Geelong v Carlton prelim (we could win)

Game on Mole

Were not going to make the granny, winning a final will be big, after that anything is a massive bonus

Jeepers, just did my ladder predictor, and if we win our last three games (big if...) it is entirely feasible that we finish 4th. Assuming a loss to StK in the first week, a home final against Brisbane in week 2 beckons! Then face Geelong in the prelim - we couldn't beat them, could we? :smoking:

Bluebeard I think we put the same results into the machine

Using that predictor, I think the only way we gonna make the Grand Final is if we finish 4th and beat the Saints first up.

I think I'd be done for manslaughter if we played Collingwood in a cutthroat final, let alone a grand final.

That's how tense and unpredictable I'd be.

At least it's proper footy if we play Collingwood in a final.

none of this west coast v port adelaide tripe.

I'm loving the get-ahead-of-ourselves factor :-)

just generally, does anyone know how finals tix work for members? given our long-running tradition of finishing up in august, ive never even been to a finals game, let alone a granny... are people still physically lining up for finals tickets or has the afl updated to online systems?

Hopefully the club will shed some light on this very soon!!

On League Teams last night, they said someone had $20 @ 1500 to 1 on a Carlton v Collingwood GF.
5 pots gone begging.

Lara, you raise a good point. There must be thousands of supporters out there that haven't seen finals footy (Carlton supporters). It opens a huge market for the AFL.

Online is the way to go these days.

Still have to get over at least two more teams in home and away to guarantee finals spot in my opinion. I wouldn't even consider potential match ups until two more weeks time.

T'would be great!

I can already see Betts knocking the ball in from the boundary to Fev who kicks the winner to the howls of "no fair" from their illiterate, toothless, filthy supporters.

The look on their president's face would be priceless!

haha!

Funny how just 2 weeks ago half of us were saying we wont make the finals now we're talking about a Grand Final?

Bit seriously. Nexy year, i can't see why we couldn't only make one but actually win the thing.

Geelong are getting old and tired and will loose a few stars.

StKilda have the form, but form dies out.

Bulldogs may have missed their run.

Collingwood doing well.

Hawthorn will get their stars back.

I can see us, as a better developed team, beating any of those teams on a grand final day!

Remember, we still have Waite to come back / Walker will be fitter and Gibbs will be coming into his prime along with Murphy stamping his authority along side Judd and Fevola.

I can really see it as a possibility.

But then again............... the Collingwood / North Melbourne games when we played like a bottom 4 side were just a few weeks ago.

Good bet to have, i'd imagine the odds would have gone down if they'd added a Carlton premiership.

That'd be good - Collingwood hasn't beaten Carlton in a Grand Final since 1910. In fact its almost a century since theyve beaten us in the big one.
