Probably long overdue...all the best to him. He will be back with Waitey next season fit and ready to go...2 new recruits locked in for 2010 already... :smoking:

Good luck, Jamo.

Can't wait to see him in 2010.

He will have to wait until next year to win grand final. Hope he enjoys watching his team mates win this year!

We'll miss him, but there's a bigger picture. We need to get him right, and give him a head-start to do so.

The blessing of Jamo and Waitey`s injuries this year has been Thornton and Bower rising to the responsibility & taking their game to the next level. We will have a formidable defence in the coming seasons. Good luck Jamo.

A real shame that he is going to miss our first finals campaign after so long, but he is vital for us in the years to come... so glad they are looking long term with him.

Good luck to him and hoping for a speedy recovery

isnt putting your players in for surgery before the season is over classed as tanking?

but BH, we are carlton, we have judd, and 63 1st picks, it doesnt matter.

every other side loses a CHB or a FB and the excuses come thick and fast.

we lose both ... nothing

but god its exciting. the potential for this side is just enourmous.

warnock and hampo in ruck
kruize up forward
jamo, waite in defence
walker tearing up a wing

and oh ... i forgot about all the bloody kids we ahve that could be anything. its going to be exciting guys thats for sure :)

Good call. . .on saturday morning hearing hutchy on SEN mentioning that it was a good win, but against a team with no taylor or scarlett the very first thing i thought was 'we didnt have jamo or waite' who i'd argue are just as important to our side as taylor or scarlett are to theirs. . .

Very true. Gives the other guys opporturnity and motivation to take their chance, then one day a full contingent of hardened and hungry blokes will be at our disposal.

I love Jamo, but there has to be a question mark over his body's ability to stand up to the rigors of AFL.

Really, really hope he can hold it together, because he's a 10 year KPP for us if he can.

Good move to get his groins right for pre-season.

It would also be nice to get confirmation and re-assurance that his shoulders will be 100% by R1 next year.

Quite possible he'll be a 10 year KPP for us, regardless.

..yeah, i don't think he's overly injury prone myself.. ..just this year we might have played him a few times when we shouldn't have, and have aggravated his injury..
