Who would be up there for us?

Juddy and Fev would have to be locked in.
Murph, Gibbs, and Thornton would have to be in consideration.
Eddy would have to be close for a small forward, although Le cras and Milne  maybe ahead?

Thoughts?

Eddie's early season form might have seen him in calculations, but can't see him getting a gig overall.

Judd, yes.

Fev, not so sure. I think Brown, Riewoldt and Kosi would be ahead of him in the selectors' eyes.

Murphy and Gibbs in an extended squad maybe, but there's a lot of quality ahead of them.

I reckon Judd will be our only rep this year.

Judd's a definite, maybe Fev if his last few weeks pre-finals are blinders (although I'd expect Brown and Riewoldt to get ahead of him).

Murph and Gibbs would be considered among a huge pack, but they've got a lot ahead of them. Wouldn't hold my breath.

Eddie's early form pointed to it, but he's probably behind Davey and LeCras.

T-Bird perhaps.

Judd definitely, I dont think anyone else though. Fev might sneak in, and Waitey would have been in for sure had he not done his knee

Thornton's form this season, save for a couple early lows and a bit of a patch post Waite going down, has been exceptional. with Jamison and Waite out he has stood up superbly to marshall the defence.

He won't be considered for AA selection, which is a massive shame because his season has been one of consistency, class and distinction.

He's had a very pleasing year.

Judd for sure.

Fev should be as well. Brown is the only one who could push him out, but I suspect that they will put either one in the pocket.

Riewoldt would go to CHF I would think.

I think unfortunately, that the Filth might have a couple ahead of Eddy.

At least Neon Leon, who's had a great year, and also probably Didak (spit).

And FWIW, I reckon both of them are ahead of Davey too.

Fevola

With the midfield strength of the Pussies, and the 'Aints; I don't think Murphy, or Gibbs will make it in.

I was under the impression that they were both playing in the midfield, more than the forward line this season.

But I don't know, I don't watch many Filth matches.

I'd expect Judd, Fev, Gibbs, Murphy and Thornton to make the initial squad.

However it's only Judd I'd expect to make the ream with Fev a big chance for the bench or a pocket if he wins the Coleman.
Thornton is half a chance for the bench if he has three more great games, and Murphy and Gibbs will just have to wait another year.

judd and fev are certainties. .

Gibbs and murph have been very good, but others have been better.

T-bird would be in MY all australian team, however his chances at getting the honor are slim to none, shame as he deserves the recognition.

Eddie's first month of footy would have had him there, but milne davis etc are the top contenders, then daylight, then everyone else.

You would think Eddie would be a rough chance (very rough) as although his goal output has dropped a bit since earlier in the season, I think he is top five for tackles inside fifty and second in goal assists. It's been a really good year by Eddie...a real step forward

As others have rightly pointed out the guys who have spent more time in the midfield than Eddie will have a big advantage come selection time. There is a lot of quality in the small forward/midfielder slot these days.

cant believe that stevie j, pavlich, and mitch clarke are touted as all australian. . .stevie j's first half of the year was brownlow worthy, but he's been injured/done nothing since. . .pavlich is the season's biggest dissappointment IMO, and clarke is a distant 3rd to gardiner and jolly IMO. . . Josh fraser is also up there, but like johnson has missed a part of the year.

LeCras? I don't like taking cracks without putting my own team up but he has clearly been the best small forward in the comp this year. I'd have him ahead of Davis, SJohnson, BJohnson and Davey for starters.

..agreed, but they usually only go for one genuine small fwd, and i'd say that spot is LeCras'.. ..Eggy Betts might sneak into the squad of 40..

..Juddles definately in, possibly VC as well.. ..Fev should get in, maybe not as FF [coleman pending, giddy up dee's!!].. ..Murph should make squad, and his stats this year are great, very consistent season in all aspects of his game [goal kicking, and tackles right up].. ..a smokey for a bench spot, but should make the extended squad.. ..Thorny might sneak into the extended squad, Bower a squad smokey..

Good point...Lecras has also looked good when he has rotated through the midfield as well.

Judd is a certainty...Fev as well I reckon....then after that we'd be lucky to score another...would love AJ to make it...but they would never pick a tagger.
