Had recently moved to Albury with the man
Was given a huge amount of money
Had fun spending it
Started to get quite down about Carlton, whether or not they'd come good
Had a gambling addiction
Reached lowest ebb
Was threatening myself to quit AFL, couldn't hack in anymore.
Got over the gambling, and silly thoughts.
Picked myself up
Bought a flat
Discovered CSC
Got banned from CSC
Migrated to TC
Haven't been banned
Discovered the draft, got interested in that.
Got a Job.
Met a fantastic group of people here who changed my life.
Content now.
Finals now

Changed jobs x3
Took a break from work for a while (12 month sabbatical)
Lured back to fulltime work with a offer to good to refuse
Had one good relationship fade away and a couple of other disasters that I do not think about.
Currently single and not looking.
Trained hard and now teach martial arts ( as well as work) and preparing to complete diploma in Sports Coaching (Martial Arts)
Grew increasingly angry at the excess's of the Neo-Cons in the Bush and Howard regimes
Cried tears of joy when both were booted out of office in disgrace.
Enjoyed watching BMjnr grow from a child into a fine young man
Never lost faith in the Blues

Life is good

Got divorced.
Bought a new car.
Enjoyed being single - quite a bit.
Ran into MW who I'd known for years but had fallen out of touch with.
Was hearbroken by MW.
Made a concerted effort to work on my self-confidence.
Made a poor decision while I was still learning to control my new powers.
Lost a couple of mates due to above-mentioned poor decision, but found out which mates were true mates.
Stumbled along for a while in a bad place.
Found my way out of bad place.
Met up with MW again, my new powers won her over.
Moved in with MW.
Got engaged to MW.
Sold a house.
Built a new house.
Bought a new car.
Had a baby - who is frickin' awesome btw.
Won a Wii on Funniest Home Videos.

Quit job because they wanted me to spend half my life on a plane.
Started own business with 2 other big-agency refugees. Going well.
Sold house.
Bought house.
Sold that house.
Bought new house.
Renovated new house. Still needs work.
Cat got hit by car.
Got two new ones.
Got dog, a beautiful Toller.
Daughters growing up.
One daughter has sudden health issues and is now a paraplegic (I take absolutely nothing for granted anymore). Six months of our lives on hold as we basically live at the Children's hospital.
Get back into running again
Run one marathon, gearing up for another.
Fly to Sydney once a week, every week for years.
Go to Cannes every June for advertising festival. Nice.
Get older, but smarter and fitter.
Still haven't gotten around to getting married... :lol:

Gee... a fair bit has happened since '01. Great thread Molsey.

WOW!

So much joy and sorrow for many people here. Puts things in perspective.

I'll give it a shot.

For the record I met my now wife Grand Final eve 1999, so if you want to trace the source of Carltons misfortunes you can blame her, I always do.

Purchased unit
Quit Job
Got new job
Changed Cars
my now wife moves in with me
Got my wonderful dog
several holidays in QLD
Proposed late 04'
Changed Jobs
Married April 05' - good 'os' honeymoon
Went to WCQ in Sydney (yes 'that' game)
Changed jobs again
Purchased House
Sold Unit
Changed cars
had a baby
starting to look at extending house

wife has been to one game with me in all that time, that was enough for her.

same house, just a bit older
same wife, just a bit older
same kids, just a bit older
same job, just a bit longer
got a dog, now she's getting a bit older
I'm just a bit older too
attended 'that' AGM
attended the last game at Princes Park
still call it Princes Park
joined TC
witnessed the vast majority of H&A games in that bleak and black period 2002-2007
witnessed a growing flicker of hope and light since then
attended a few interstate games since 2002 ( R21, 2008 at the Gabba ... a highlight), still to do Sydney
witnessed the lows, the lowest and now the resurgence of our beloved Blues
stayed a member, still a member and will stay a member
happy days are here again

Years 7-12 of high school, sucked at the time but gee I miss it.
Watched my two little brothers grow up. Both 9 years old now.
Met heaps and heaps of new people & friends. :thumbsup:
Slacked off at school but I set goals and I'm beginning to achieve them. :cool:
Got my licence & car. (onto my green P's tomorrow!)
Still got one cat that we had, another died. New dog + cat
Discovered alcohol, drugs & women - plenty of great times :grin:
Somehow managed to lose all contact with my mum, things are okay now though.
Still living at home, in Romsey :grin:
Still best mates with a couple of kids from primary school. One is celebrating his 21st in a weeks time :eek:
Still waiting to break my finals-virginity - It's been a long wait but so glad I stayed for the ride.

great thread.

let me see.

Was already married to the wife.
Dad sick
Wife preggers with first.
Dad dies
Got depressed.
Did really crap at work.
Wife leaves work, tighten financial belt buckle.
First Child born. Fluctuate between depression and elation.
Week later, told I might be redundant.
Survived redundancy
Still did crap at work.
Got a written warning for crap work.
Helped Mrs with her business.
Got over depression.
new wave of redundancies.... survived them.
Had a littler of cocker spaniels
Had second child. Absolute elation.
Another wave of redundancies.... survived them again
Sold block of land, pay off mortgage
loosen belt a bit
Had another litter of cockers
sold dogs
Sold house
Bought new house
tightened belt very hard
yet another wave of redundancies.... survived again
went on holiday
Had third child. More elation.
Let go of my Full AFL Membership.
Took 18 months off work
Started Masters... then dropped out.
Helped Mrs start a new business.
Belt buckles slowly loosened.
Back at (same) work. Hoping for redundancy.

Had to chase wife here after she bolted from Sydney with 2 kids & furniture while I was at Friday night work drinks.
Bought house in KG on 1.25 acres after living in inner Sydney on 350m2 for twenty years.
Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas etc in our backyard.
Formed own business buying, renovating & selling run-down houses.
Stopped doing that, too stressful waiting for sale & dealing with agents.
Had third child, a little angel.
Joined golf club, play twice a week.
Bought pergola/decking franchise and new ute, heaps of cool tools. Make a reasonable living.
Bought new motorbike Honda CBR600RR. Great machine.
Still got own hair, but greyer.
Take family skiing to Hotham every year for a week - off there this Sunday.
Like having a bet on the Blues, cleaned up last week.
G Final here we come!!!!!!!!!

Okay....

* cried in disbelief as Kouta was carted off to boos of %$# tigger fans
* bought second house
* sold first house
* resigned - but convinced to stay on
* resigned again and started own consulting
* took job offer couldn't refuse
* another (current) job
* added son to family of wife & two girls
* new kitchen
* new car
* new camper trailer
* new dog
* same love (see wife above)
* took kids to first footy games
* worked [bloody] hard to keep daughters in the true faith
* son much easier as he has only become footy-aware in last 18 months
* got older, sometimes wiser
* watched parents slowing down

Despite the winter weekend frustration has been a good time....

....but future days will be even more enjoyable !!!
