Don't forget the black cat :razz:

Don't all teams have to cope with missing players and guys playing injured at this time of year? :wink:

As I said earlier......good win and happy with it but keep it in perspective. Look at what Collingwood did to us the second time round when they didn't field their reserves side.

Happens. They were smashed by Hawthorn the previous week, Happens too. We had beaten them the 3 previous times straight. Actually, the way things stand we're some shot a top 4. Really struggling aren't we, especially for a young, developing side.

Some don't have the nuts to admit fault. Suppose we all can't be strong.

Ratten should be congratulated on a great win but lets get it into perspective....It is one great coaching performance. Can he do it consistently? The win proved how so many of his selections and tactics during the first 18 games of the years were misguided. Previous criticism was as warranted as this weeks compliments

how so?

What a silly, self-serving thing to say. I'm embarrassed for you.

Aramari, I think its just a stock standard 'play the man and not the ball' reply by some on this site. Not worthy of any more air time. BTW, the only time I get personal is when I'm whacked first which is also not right but human nature sometimes gets the better of us all. Anyway, let's move on

Scarlett = Jamo
Taylor = Waite
Ottens = Warnock
Fit Johnson = Fit Walker
Selwood = WTF :confused:

So chapman and Kelly are the big omissions that make the best team of the last 3 years seriously undermanned? As good as they are I can't see how they would make such a big difference. I mean it's not like we just fell across the line is it?

I agree with everyone in that we mustn't get carried away with one win where we look like a decent side, but I am F&*KING sick of hearing of every other F&*KING teams excuse of why they lost.

For all the faults that those with agendas come up with on Ratts, one thing he doesn't do is complain or make excuses for why we lost. It's about time some on here do the same!

BM you can put any posters you're sick of on your "foes" list, and you'll never see their posts again; so you can enjoy TC all the time.

I'm very much keeping it in perspective :wink:

I have no doubt that a full strength, fully fit and switched on Geelong should beat us even at our best at this current stage in both teams list development...I just think a few double standards are being applied :razz:

Although I'm not sure we are going to see a full strength, fully fit Geelong this Finals campaign...so if we do happen to meet them again we are a sneaky chance :thumbsup:

With all those outs for the Cats why can't everybody beat them?

The Crows and the Hawks looked pretty desperate for a win against them when they had their shot. But as we know they came up short.....

BLUES by 35 points. Must be doing something right :thumbsup:

Dont bother replying, I'm sure you can't manage to give the Blues any credit for the win :banghead:

After all the Cats lost we didn't win huh.

take out the first 5mins of the game

and we outscored geelong 16 goals to 6.

i think the scoreline flatters them abit to be honest.

fev kicks straight, it could have been a 10 goal smashing

Simple rule people

Carlton Win = Other team played bad / tanking / injured
Carlton Lose = Proves we have the worst coach, no game plan, terrible administration and have not improved.

Interestingly Wayne Hughes has seemed to have escaped the previous bagging he used to get. It was only last year he was the whipping boy.

Here's a quote I borrowed from at the bar.

Quote:
And what of Brett Ratten?

Right now, good.

It's five from six for the Blues, they lost to Hawks after the siren, three others by fewer than 10 points, and they are a game off fourth. Without Jarrad Waite. Don't underestimate Ratten's performance.

Very good point indeed.
