with this result against the cats i dont see why we cant take some confidence into the next three rounds and actually win them all.

port at AAMI
Melbourne at the Etihad
Adelaide at the Etihad

We could potentially end up 5th (if pies and dons win tonight it will be completly in our hands if we finish 5th)

if we win the next three, we will have just gone on a 8 out if 9 winning streak and go into the finals having beaten 3 out of the top 9 in the last four weeks.

why wouldnt the team go into the first game of finals, being played in front of 90,000, with an extreme amount of confidence.

we played the saints, and if houla kicks that goal we win
we have played the cats, and won
we have played the dogs, and won
we have played pies and are 1-1
we have played the lions and are 2-0
we have played the crows and are 1-1
we have played the power and are 1-0

there isnt a side in the eight we should fear!! And with a potential 5 v 8 (blues v port at MCG) i like our chances to go into the second week of finals. Making the finals will see a huge amount of pressure lifted of the shoulders of all at carlton and hopoefully will see them play a better brnd of footy now without that bourdon.

Go blues. It in your hands to take the opportunity that is presented before you.

Today is a good day to wake up as a Blues supporter.

Yesterday afternoon I was a tad worried as the news kept on coming of St Kilda's team changes. Now we can all breathe a little easier. Finals09 is that little bit closer.

Dogs just lost. We could seriously finish top 4 if we win our last 3. Dogs have a tough run home. We may need the filth to do us a favour (feel dirty typing that) tonight and knock off the Crows.

Massive game against Port.

I just did the ladder predictor and 3rd to 7th all ended up on 56 points.

Could be a pretty wild Round 22. :yikes:

Officially there now after the Dawks shocker today

On form there really is not much between the top 5-6 teams. Pies are the form team of the minute, but that can change quickly with an injury or two.

Ra da da da da

lets not get ahead of ourselves, we are expected to Win one more against melbourne and then 50/50 for the other two games....

I am hoping for a home final.. thats all i ask for... Imagine playing port at home if we finish 5th or ADL/BNE if we finish 6th... it would really give us a great chance to go into the second week of finals....

I just did the ladder predictor thingy and if Brissy beat the scum tonight by 1 point or more we can't drop out of the 8 even if we lose all 3 remaining games by 30 points and Essendon* and Port win their remaining games by 30 points.

Tassie can't go ahead of us.

string of wins
reversal of poor form
coming good at the right time
hawthorn bowing out
geelong faltering
St Kilda leading the ladder
opposition teams with some important players injured - weakening them

I'd take a look at the flag odds - its worth a punt.
knowning thgat once you are in the finals - anything can happen
especially when things are starting to run Carlton's way.

No war yet - but there will be.
the 17th will come early with Ratten or else early wth the next coach.

The Geelong match was a very important indicator of the worldline that we might be on.

The things I talk about are things that no one expects to happen.

In 2001, I 'saw' a future St Kilda Carlton GF - with Carlton winning by 10 points
The win was a particularly audacious one from a low spot in the final 8
Carlton had a new young coach and the flag was won early in his career.
no one thought we would win - and there was a lot of anger
but this was really caused by jealousy
they said that we didnt deserve to win - but we won fair and square
There was a player that kicked a goal in an attack from from the backline
I heard that his name was 'Power'
It wasnt the only flag that we won under this coach.
It occurred diring what I saw as a time of war - but it is also possible that it occurred at a time that preceded a war...

If we win our last 3, we might pinch 4th, but at worst should finish 6th, guaranteeing us a home final. Our fate's in our hands.

I played with the predictor thingy and have us playing Adelaide in rnd 22 for 4th spot.
But even if we win the next two by comfortable margins and lose in rnd 22 we can finish 6th and we may just manage a finals campaign with no travel.

I make it that we will only miss out on the finals if we lose every remaining game AND Essendon* win every remaining game...

4.....Western Bulldogs.........122.68.......48
5.....Brisbane Lions.............107.61.......46
6.....Carlton......................110.26.......44

Dogs draw: Lions, Cats, Coll

Lions draw: Bulldogs, Port, Swans

Win our last 3 and we would be a great chance for top 4.

After friday night... anything is possible
