Pros

Not being intimidated by teams like Geelong (same as the Aints). And this has happened very quickly really.

Intensity and tackling, all night, forced many turnovers and kicks to contests.

Thornton and JR were outstanding. Hats off especially to Billy-Bob, who apart from defending fearlessly, also played on at all costs.......just sensational.

Juddy really is a freak. Just wills himself to find another gear, even when he's knackered. Ling just couldn't stay with him, and he's no slouch.

Big Irish has improved his marking so much. And when he doesn't mark it he is very creative with handballs and knock-ons. Quickly becoming the new Earl ???

Cons

Na, not tonight.

We are the Old Dark Navy Blues :thanks: :thanks:

This win is going to give our boys real belief. It was the same in the Hawks game where we played very committed & disciplined footy, but unfortunately couldn't manage the win. But now that we've knocked off arguably the best side over the past 3 years - albeit on a very bad day for them - the team should take a lot out of it. Can we match it with the best? Well now we know that we're capable when we run hard, play hard, back ourselves and attack.

Nice work! Murphy getting his tally up to 25 goals for '09... love the kid.

Work rate and intensity.

Took the game on, run from the back. Yeah our skills could be better at times gut gee I'd rather attack like that than be stagnant and defensive.

Thornton - superb. Been great all year for mine. Would have to be in consideration for AA. Seriously.

JR - sensational. Best game ever by him. Well done.

Simmo - love him and his run and attack. For mine, he is a key barometer for us and love watching him when he's on song.

Gibbs - sensational, especially in the first half.

Judd - need I say more. No cheap possessions for this bloke. All about impact and boy does he do that.

Took the opportunity to gain some respect back. Let them talk about their outs etc. More than happy to slip under the radar

Pros:

We claimed another scalp on our bogey list
Russell
Thornton
Simmo
AJ
Army
Santy
Gibbs
Judd
Hammer
Kruz

In fact, just a great overall team performance!
Making the trip up from Geelong - even after all my work mates told me how fruitless it would be..... Can't wait for Monday!!

Cons:

Not much really - some of the air we put under our kicks we sent into our forward half were just silly, especially the ones to Eddie when Harley was all over the top of him.

Some @#$%&! prick broke into my car at the botanical gardens and stole my brand new sunglasses and MP3 player with all my music on it

I hate that shit. Probably a disgruntled Cats supporter on his way home; although I live in Geelong and I've never had my car broken into in 14 years :?

CON:

If Geelong continue to play like that, the filth may very well have an easier finals run.

Happy with pretty much everything but here I go:

Pros
- Judd showing why he is No 1
- Gibbs
- JR. Has come on leaps and bounds since his brief stint with the Bullants.
- Thornton. Not far off being AA.
- Simpson. He really is the barometer of this side.
- Our talls. Setanta and Hampson really starting to come along nicely (and of course the Kreuze).
- AJ
- Betts

Cons
Think I'll leave this space blank

Wonderful effort Blueboys. :thanks: :thanks:

Lots of positives from my pov, but the main individual ones:

Armfield has hit back the last 2 weeks with very solid and reliable performances

Houla's put in a consistently good 3 weeks with good intensity and effort at the contests. Probably our best kick-out option atm with his kicks to himself then kicking outside D50.

Hadley was good and really fills out our midfield when he's up and about. Very important to the overall scheme of things.

AJ continues to deliver. A sensational 2nd season for him as a rookie.

Whilst little Eddie didn't trouble the scorers his presence was enormous. Lots of assists..great team game.

Hammer and Kreuzer really growing and making a real effort to impact the game.

Walks just quietly getting more involved. In the weeks to come he'll provide a strong physical and running presence.

The BIG SETANT! ..providing another option and a good set of dukes! ..pack ya bags Cam

This kind of win takes a team effort so congratulations to all. Let's build on it.

Cons

Pity there weren't more people at the 'G' to witness it

PRO

We can look forward to the finals for the first time in 8 years

Great team effort

A team to be really feared in the years to come

Beat Collingwood Geelong Dogs and Lions

The effort of the so- called bottom 6 - russell armfield wiggins setanta joseph hampson

Tackling intensity up with the first week against Richmond

Structure on the forward line much better with Setanta

Cons

Absolutely none

Pros: Would be worth $500 to be at the Geelong celebration tonight wearing a Carlton jumper
Too many to mention but JR war a star and Wiggo looked composed.

I thought Robinson looked lijke a headless chook and cost us a lot of turnovers esp in the first half

Whoever wanted AJ dropped after the freo game and I cant be bothered looking who it was, I hope after last night you think twice before talking such crap. The guy is a star in the making.

Getting Stevens, Walker and Setanta back gives us some variety that we lacked around the collingwood game.

Armfield was fantastic.
