Apart from Cloke, we have Grigga and WIGGINS.

I'm in the city and we haven't had a drop all day. And there is hardly anything coming in according to the radar.

It will be windy...and very cold....but if the G's drainage is up to it it should be fairly normal underfoot.

Selwood and maybe Johnson out?

Geez, Ross Lyon and Thompson are bloody keen not to have flag-favourite status, aren't they?

Imagine our kicking skills in the wind and we could definitely win this game by 12 goals!

That would be fantastic if both Selwood and Johnson miss.
All of a sudden I'm excited about tonight's match.

Maybe they should move the game to Seaford, we might be a chance

UPDATE 4:00pm: GEELONG could be in damage control with another two big names in doubt for tonight's clash against Carlton. It is believed gun onballer Joel Selwood is highly unlikely to play after struggling through a fitness test at Skilled Stadium today, while mercurial forward Steve Johnson is also under an injury cloud.

All of a sudden the AFL declared rd 19 "The rest your champs round". All the fans rejoiced for It was deemed a worthy addition to the forthcoming Rd 22 blockbuster "tanking for picks" round.

Heart says we can push them, and if we play to our potential win.

Head says we'll lose "respectably"

Geelong are still very capable of teaching us a lesson without their missing players.

They still have a better mifield and their defence looks to have an enormous amount of run. I hope Fev is in the mood for a bit of chasing tonight. They still have the power to kick 20+ goals if we dont work hard enough.

Been to the G at lunchtime -will be cold but ground and surrounds in good nick
PS I could almost smell the finals havent done that in August for the last 8 years -we are very close getting excited - dont care if we limp crawl in on get in by 0.01 %

I reckon we are a really good chance this week - one day this year we will turn in a blinder -hopefully tonight - need to be bold - not intimidated

GO BLUES

Blues backed in from $5.10 to $3.47.

Glad I got hold of the $5.10.

I suppose when we win, there will be a chorus of who did we beat - the Geelong reserves side?

..bollocks, the pussies have struggled to kick big scores for a few months now, with a better team they're fielding tonight too.. ..and their defense is as shakey as ours.. ..to be honest, i reckon we're very much evenly matched tonight.. ..player potential wise.. ..will come down more to coaching, match-ups and tactics etc etc.. ..and also obviously to sheer grunt and games experience..

I like your positive thinking.

However, we are talking about Geelong here. They could easily find their best form again tonight and If they do, they are capable of a huge score. Their defence is shaky but if we can't get the ball in our forward line and if we dont have the forward pressure needed that defence will destroy us. I just dont believe we can afford to not show as much respect to this Geelong team than their best 22.
