Our Finals destiny is now in our hands... we'd have to stuff things up majorly to miss out... We have to take the same attitude we took into the Saints game into this one... Nothing to lose... no one gives us a chance... Lets just take the game on....

I heard on the radio over the weekend that word coming out of the Cattery is that Scarlett should be back this week. Hope not, although dont think he ll be 100 n% een if he plays. Don't know if they'd risk rushing him back so quickly with the finals just round the corner.

Hope Jamo plays, and T-Bird and Bower aren't injured. The last thing we need at this time of year is to go into this game with a weak defence and end up copping a massive percentage destroying thumping...

Ratts should get the boys on the track doing extra skills sessions all week, as these buggers will punnish us every we turn the ball over (and we tend to do that a lot lately).

Like Richmond and the Kangaroos, maybe Geelong will have another bad day in front of goals? That's the only hope i give us.

I'm actually really looking forward to this game.

Can we win? Sure we can.

Will we win? Most likely not.

But what this game will show us is either one of two things.

#1.
We will get thumped by a side who deserves to play finals prooving to us that we are no where near the form that our spot on the ladder would suggest. It might make Ratts and the coaching staff scratch their head and perhaps come up with other options and stratergies as opposed to the crap that we've dished up in the past 6 weeks.

#2.
We will address our current problems (no forward line structure, poor kick-outs, failing to take the corridor, kicking backwards) and we will come out and play the Cats on our terms - NOT THEIRS!

Take the game on.

You never know, we might just win back some respect from the Football community and gain some much needed belief heading into our first finals campaign in 8 years (despite the fact we don't deserve to be there!)

One things for sure, i am VERY EXCITED about the AJ on Ablett match up. Should be good.

Oh.................and I'd be bringing back a Gartlett or Yarran.

Sounds like T-Bird & Bower Bird will be OK. Bring back Jamo too if he's OK. Gartlett in for some pace.

No reason to think we can't win IF we go in switched on and ready to rumble....

Just need to play to our potential, take Geelong on and run through the lines.....

Carlton in a upset...6 points

Blues are $5.10 to win - has to be the bet of the season.

I reckon we are a BIG chance.

Assuming Thornton's injured:

In: Jacobs

Out: Thornton (inj)

This will allow us to play Kreuzer, Setanta and Fevola all as permanent fowards, with the insurance that we can always send Setanta into the backline if we need to.

Let's make Geellong worry about us rather than vice-versa!

Good, that means he can now officially get fit with some horizontal exercises.

I agree. Might be the only chance we get this year to win some real moula off the bookies.

And i'd love to hear "the sky is falling" group somehow conjure an excuse as to why it was the players and not Ratten's coaching :smoking:

There is an article in the age saying grigg and Bentick are a chance to come in..no mention of Cloke.
Any thoughts on Bentick from those who watch the Ants?

Not sure we want both Bentick and Hadley in the same team....seem to play similar roles with similar pace limitations...however Bullants reports indicate Bentick is in good form...

Hadley should be gawn, he is way too slow and looks like the game has passed him by with his 2 knee reco's. He didn't do anything which impressed me last week.

There was only three players who had less game time than Hadley on friday night the two ruckman and Robbo

but Hadley move to the midfield and Judds move forward won as the game
He won more clearances than any player on either side

Try watching

Agree, Hadley was important particularly in the guts in the 3rd Q

How many times did Hadley turn the ball over though? He was Mr Clanger on Friday night .. give him one more game and if he doesn't prove himself, drop him

..he certainly was rusty early on in the game, but he did sharpen up as the game wore on.. ..might have been more a case of just dusting off the cobwebs so to speak..
