I recall Joseph saying that if they miss a session or arrive late to training the leadership group decided that punishment was they had to shave there head?

It scares me to think that the guys dont take it serious enough!
Off memory Fev against Pies
Gibbs against north
Murph not long before that.Possibly against the Bumbers
Thats 3 of our top players not setting the example.
The top clubs seem to take this sought of thing a bit more serious.

Your thoughts?

Its a player punishment thing from memory. You stuff up i.e late for training/late for official function among other things, and you have the choice to shave the head or colour it.

Its been happening all year including the preseason, just a bit of player fun.

I think its for transgressions on a small scale that needn't be dealt with by the MC. Its hardly a big deal.

It makes it easier for the players to tell when the sky is falling.

Apparently they're permitted to get a haircut occasionally, even when they haven't transgressed.

Dont quote me on that though....I could be mistaken.

Judd must be a serial offender!!!

But JR asked about it on the footy show yesterday. He said earlier in the year it was some sort of penalty but not now, Gibbs just felt like it.

Gibbsy came on here and had a read, and went grey. Thought he better shave it so no-one notices it......

Are they not just following the leader?

I think the punishment was they had to dye their hair blonde if they missed a training session.

He did have the blonde in but it is back to black now. We have a thing here at the club where we have to roll the dice, and a few of the boys have gone blonde as a result. It wasn’t inspired by me, or at least I hope it wasn’t!

Unfortunately Yarran hasn't gone the Simon Phoenix look.

Yazz is lazier than the rest of the team. :garthp:

Judd must be thinking "What are these guys doing? If I had a full head of hair I sure as hell wouldn't be shaving it."

I've shaved my hair, seems even fans aren't immune from these damn late penalties

The full shave feels nicer than the #0. Bit high maintenance though.

(I prefer not to have #2 on my head, budzy....I don't want to hear of your pecadilloes here, thanks  )

Many of the young midfielders seem to have decided that the low maintenance cooler option of the shaved head suits a serious and professional attitude to the footy. Better the shaved head than the high-maintenance coif of a D. Thomas or a T. Vickery.

Fev did look superb on Friday nite..and intimidating too.
However...I can't help looking at our boys..and wondering if a group trip to a certain sixties musical might inspire them back the other way?
sigh...

Armfield clearly our most consistent trainer then.

Either that or he's a gun at Yahtzee.
