No doubt this practice session goes on for about 30 pages.

How about playing the ball and not man ?

Here's a Treasure Map. See if you can find your funny bone.

Ask yourself this 2c. What's the difference between me having a dig at Synbad and :melvey:
and them constantly shit caning Ratts and anyone else connected to the Coaching Group every time the put finger to keyboard.

Do they play the man or the ball. Do you think either one would say what they say to Ratts face or Sticks or anyone else on the MC. Don't get all righteous on me when all they do is post the same shite over and over and flowering over again.

They will tell you their opinions are good for the club. But my point is that if I told the same joke every time I posted the punch line would also start to wear thin after awhile.

I would challenge both of them to get together, write a letter about their concerns to the CFC Board, and voice their opinions.

We/I/Everyone gets it. They want change. Good luck to them. Posting the same stuff day in day out on TC frankly won't do it. If they don't like what's going on they can phone Swanny and tell him their woes.

Synbad has his soap box and his pitbull jaws firmly locked on Sticks and :melvey: is just a tic on his backside with an IQ to match.

Regards Cazzesman

The difference is that Ratten and the coaching team largely control the playing destiny of the blues, we all come here to discuss. So its only fair that they voice opinions about the people in charge. Can't say the same about you having a go at Syners and Melvey.

As for the same shit being posted it is a reflection of the same shit being produced on field.

Not sure what the gripe is...we are all here to chat about our footy club and how it is travelling. We are either travelling beautifully or we are not and each person comments as he sees fit either way on how we are going and how we can improve. Those that take it too personally have probably got bigger issues to worry about.

So you don't think Synbads and :melvey's: attacks....sorry 'chats' about Ratts and Sticks aren't bordering on personal

You and I both know they could write their posts now for the post match discussion of next Friday nights game.

Of course they are entitled to voice their opinions on TC. But we all know their combined posts over the past month, regardless of how the Blues play, are the equivalent of the 5 year old in the back seat of the family sedan.....ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET? ARE WE THERE YET?

Fair! Fair! You think they are fair and unbias in their posts. So it's okay for them to say whatever they like, whenever they like about anyone employed at the club and not have anyone say anything in return.

If Ratts or Swanny or Sticks came on to TC would they be permitted a right of reply?

I've attempted to post enough logical/factual rebuttles to their concerns over the past months but they won't/can't be swayed. Such is life. This time I though I would try some humor. I guess you are more of a 'Hey Dad' kind of guy rather than a 'Ren and Stimpy' type.

Questioning Rattens and Sticks professional competence should be fair game, as it influences the teams on field performance. I have not read a single post thats attacks their personal lives

Also, why would Ratten, Swanny, or Sticks not be permitted right of reply on TC ? I guess they are as welcome as any person wishing to post.

May be you are little too close to the action and are taking criticisms directed at Ratten and Sticks personally.

So you are now the attorney???

They are free to come here and post...

Others have....

Unless they have specifically given you 'lacky licence'... where you can come in and put up pictures from the net in defence of a shit gameplan???

Dont get me wrong Cazz... im not complaining.... you can make as many of the personal snides as you like... it is water of a ducks back for me... and i dont take it personally ... even though theyre designed to be just that.

Now.... what makes you believe President Sticks and Coach Ratten are the best qualified people or their jobs?
And what has it been in Rattens coaching that has you so excited.. that excited that you wont hear a word said about him??

Exactly??

Cos so far i cant see anything in your argument suggesting that he is the right man except "Ross Lyon was hammered " "Bomba was hammered" but you have not been straight about the whole thing.. you havent told us that both of these men have coaching backgrounds that are solid and Ratts hasnt...

Plus he has no gameplan...

They can come in and defend themselves.. this is a football board for supporters to vent their concerns..

Its why this thing exists Cazz.. in case you wernt sure....

that North who kicked 0.9 in the last probably wouldnt have won if they'd kicked a little straighter because after a goal the ball goes back into the middle and the game restarts.

The stupid turnovers from kickouts surely coiuldnt happen if they'd kicked a goal either!!

A big danger this week is Geelong's innacuracy in front of goal. Expect each goal to be worth 7-8 points at least.

Of course you were meant to take it personally. But you were also meant to take it as a humorous aside. I know you have broad shoulders and can take a few digs. After all, if you hand out a few you have to take a few, that just life.

To me the funny thing about most of this thread, is the way :melvey: has hitched his reins to your Anti Ratts/Sticks wagon. That is hillarious    I know how much you believe in what you are saying but I can picture you cringing in horror when :melvey: comes in to support you. I feel your pain there

As for the Clubs current situation, I have patience. I have met Ratts several times and as a result I have confidence in him continuing to improve the performance of the team. Yes we are playing some woeful football at times but we are also playing some good football at other times. You see it different.

You will keep banging on about the issue over the coming months and no doubt I will find things funny from time to time. Good luck with Tonto

I guess at the start of the year I would have said that making finals was a successful year. I would also have measured us against the Pies and the Dons, and second time around they both embarrassed us, yet I don't think they are better than us. My concern with Ratts is that the players too often lack intensity, play as individuals and look confused- or their style of play does. And I am concerned that we have an incredibly inexperienced coaching group. If players lack intensity it indicates a lack of leadership around the club and a lack of authority with the coach, if they look confused it indicates a lack of communication skills.

Ratts seems a good bloke, but is he the best bloke to be coach.

Did the club's process for selecting a coach mean that we have the best possible group to develop our side and take it as far as it can go?

If we have an okay coach with some assistants that are good and some that fall wide of the mark then our chances for a flag will be a fair way into the future. We need to have patience, but only if we have the best set up. I think we are still to much old Carlton. (And the prez in the coaches box seems particularly amateurish). As for people questioning the club and employees of the club - it goes with the territory and is understandable, because we all stood back in the late 90s as the club made terrible recruiting and management decisions, and our reward for silence was almost losing the club. We are members and therefore own the club, the club survives because of supporters. We set record membership numbers when the club was at its lowest ebb. It wouldn't be a bad thing if Ratt's did come on here. We are all here because we care, and that is why the club still exists. To be honest I would have hoped for a better performance on Friday from a side that has ben as terrible as us and is now on the brink of finals playing a side that is a game away from the wooden spoon. When the positions were reversed in the last game of 2003 North showed a fair bit more than we did on Friday

Very good points...should be in the Ratts thread.
