Some interesting thoughts by Swanny about a few of the players and the coach:

Thanks for finding/posting that fj.

Swanny didn't really give too much away, but sounds like there might be a few nervous blokes come list finalisation time at season's end.

It's very noticeable IMO that something is missing and it's impacting on the group as a whole.

Another fracture in the coaching ranks?
Certain coaches not fitting in with the boys club?
Players disgruntled with Ratten?
Ratten playing favourites?
Fracture in the playing group?

If the club is aware then deal with it, get it out in the open and move forward FFS.

The problem is how do you fix some of this stuff????

You can delist ten players... thats what youd usually do...

How does a team at round 18 need to drop 6 players????

How does a club like ours justifies delisting 10 to 12 players???

Where is the improvement and development??

Where is the morale??

We should be exciting playing brash.. and bright footy... our kids should be coming along with leaps and nbounds...

But they look flat.. defeated...their skills are deproving (if thats a word) not improving... and there is no gameplan!!!

6 changes at round 18.... says it all!!!

Looks like Swann is now part of the mysterious boys club. I saw Ratts at the Bullants game sitting with Harvey Capuano and Harris. Maybe he was in the process of inducting them also.

This is getting scary.

I think Swann sees it my way. Our players in the 24yr old and above age are not as good/consistant as those at the clubs above us. We need to phase them out with the young blokes getting games pumped into them now. We are a few years off seriously having a crack. Those who expect us to be fighting for a flag this year or next must be very disapointed.

Good interview.

Greg Swann needs to get some talented assistants around Ratts. Throw plenty at Sanderson, Hinkley, Hardwick, Scott, Gavin Browne etc.

Spend up Swanny!!!!!

Agree.

The sad part is that it looks like Ratten is going no where (doesn't mean im going to give up on it) so get some smart people around him.

I heard a rumour that Swann promised to make Ratten leave, but he changed his mind mid-week and kept Ratten on just to annoy people on TC.

Damn backtrackers!

Agree.

WE haven't the cattle and ratts is growing in the role.

Just need some patience.

Or we can so as Synbad tells us and sack coaches every two years.
