Talk is cheap and a bit rich coming from mummys boy Bryce Gibbs who doesn't even work up a sweat. Send Gibbs a tape of Joel Selwoods highlights video and tell him to step up or shut up.

Wheres our unsociable football????

Instead our boys parade around as superstars flying around in Pratts private Jet eating caviar, sipping pina coladas at 5 star resorts, staring in mens suits commercials, attending lavish dinner parties at Raheen and being told that THEY'RE COMING when they've haven't proven anything.

The boys need to harden the flower up, cop a few knocks but dish out more. We play like a bunch of bitches and becoming the others teams little bitch

Unsociable football was so very 80s.

Further to our Melveys usual rubbish what he fails to see is that the marketting, promotional and supporter feel-good pieces are part and parcel of operating a modern football Club.

THE SPONSORS EXPECT IT!

..a wee bit 'arsh there on the ol' Gibblet, but agreed.. ..he needs to show some hustle and urgency out there, he's got a good frame on him that's filling out nicely.. ..would be good for him to throw his body in at times every now and then..

Until I just read that I forgot the thread is about Gibbs not Melvey

ahhh the sanctimony of it all

I blame Ratts

if we had Bomber Thompson coaching Gibbsey would play just like Selwood

if it was Knights he'd play like Lovett

if it was Clarkson it would be Hodge

If it was Malthouse it'd be daisy - oh wait...um Peddles...not wait....

mummy's boy

I HATED the article when I got to this:

"Since round 12, the Blues have lost big stage Friday night games to St Kilda, Essendon* and Collingwood by an average of 44 points. "

WTF?? Wouldn't it be smarter to say something like "apart from the St Kilda game, Carlton have been smashed in Friday night games" ????? I don't know if they were trying to do a service, by taking the average down -or what they were doing....

Its true what he is saying. We must overcome this issue we have with friday night games. Friday nights have picked up where sydney left off. Hoodoo night !

When is that weak as piss mummy's boy Gibbs going to do something? Maybe at his 21st back home at his mummy's place in Adelaide he'll sink some piss, smash up a few cars, belt the crap out of Kreuzer who went along for the ride but started complaining that it was getting too wild, smoke a pack of Winnie Blues and drive back to his place in Melbourne all the while sinking West End Draft before passing out in the gutter because he can't find his door key (which he poked in Murphy's eye before heading off to Adelaide).

That will show 'em!

Presumably any 20yo not playing to the standard of Selwood will now be regarded as a soft overrated hack.

*Not if their development coach is Alan Richardson and they went through the process of looking at all available coaches

Richardson's fast tracking of Houli and Jetta into hard running, accountable and tough footballers is striking.
