I'm being genuine when I say that I think Sticks is a true navy blue legend who genuinely & honestly loves the club.

For that is the reason why I think he was Richard Pratts annointed one.

Pratt could truly trust that Kernahans heart belonged to Carlton first and foremost and that Sticks wouldn't abuse his power as President for personal gain ...and Richard would have his back along the way...

Pratt trusted that Kernahan would put the clubs' best interest ahead of his own ..something which he may not have thought as much from certain others in high places at the club.

Sticks was Pratts man ...but Richard is now gone.

Jeanne's now the Patron.

How do the others feel about this??

Is Sticks' still 'the man'???????

IMO, Kernahan is as a true Carlton Legend, his name sits comfortably amongst Jesaulenko, Doull & Nicholls.

He is also a legend of the Glenelg Football Club in the SANFL & number 1 ticket holder.

He is the reason why I follow the Blues.

He is not a President though. I just feel his persona isn't suited to the Presidency. Hopefully when his time is up
he realises before he damages his Carlton reputation......

Kouta interviewed on the radio the other day said Sticks is doing a great job, true Carlton hero, loves the club, yada yada towing the party line.
Said that at times Sticks has thought about stepping down but people have convinced him to stay.

Seems as though politically all the major players in the club are happy with the status quo at the moment.
But surely he has to go by the end of the year.

SURELY he has to at least make a pretence at looking at other candidates.
Does anyone know him? Or ever come into contact with him?
Surely someone needs to tell him that we need fresh ideas and a sweep out of the football department.

If we lose Swann and Icke before Sticks steps down, I will be gutted.
He is not doing what's best for the club at the moment.

I now understand why we did so poorly on Friday night.

The players were told to Roll Over and Lay Down.

Or were Ratt's instructions simply to do 'Whatever You Want'?

Is that why we turned the pill over Again and Again?

One thing's for sure; we keep playing like that and Down Down the ladder we'll slip.

I'll stop now.

He (Mr Swann) said the honour and pride associated with the club's traditional navy blue jumper was priceless.

THAT is the big worry. Swann and Icke are pros, and will be frustrated if they aren't allowed to run their areas in a professional manner. We might be wrong in assuming that CFC isn't following best practice, but if we're right, there are a number of other clubs that are professionally run, and Swann and Icke won't want their reputation to suffer being associated with a bunch of boys-club manipulators.

Yep. we are stuffed. quick get a partition together. maybe someone will be talked into helping out. perhaps try and change our image to be more family freindly. maybe have a big day at pp and rattle some cans. drum up some cash.

Stability would have been no1 on Pratts plan. A nice five year plan would have been drawn up. We owe it to Pratt to see it through. If it fails all those who Pratt put in place tried there best but were not good enough.

Shit yourselves if you want but it is not going to help.

Knowing nothing except what I read on TC (which needs a lot of grains of salt) it seems that Sticks could do worse than allow and support Swicke to have the major say in running the club at a policy level.
There are major policy issues where Swanny has been overruled in the past.
Let Swicke do their job...

Im not shitting myself... im concerned.

Why would i shit myself???? is someone pulling a trigger and firing it into my head????

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

But Sticks Kernahan "Getting comfortable as president" (according to Kouta) "and enjoying his new role"means noone will be be throwing their hat in the ring for presidential leadership.. which means were stuck with Frank Spencer as president.. He is going to shift his throne into the coaches box..and get some party pies out for his mates in there...Someone like Montgomery will be his Ottoman...

Kernahan has [REDACTED] up so much and yet he is a constant.....he has been on more sides than Italy... he has been on the same side as every Carlton President that has been knocked off.. and yet he is now President...

He has more sides than a Decagon..

He has been the mastermind of some of the most catastrophic Carlton moments of the last catastrophic Carlton decade...

Even with all his calamity... im alive... i have not lost my mind... why would i be scared???What else can he do to me???

I am just concerned about my club!!!....

... shouldnt i be????

Talk to some of those unofficial blokes in the stands at carlton training..... Get a partition going... See if you have the support.
If most feel the same then you have a good shot at getting Sticks thrown out. ....The sponsors will be happy.... I am sure they hate him also....Stuff stability...... That is so overrated. People hate not reading about infights at Carlton every day.
Once Sticks is gone partition the coach .....Get him ousted.....Get a new one..... Make sure none of the players ever make a mistake kicking out though as you will have to get another coach...... More posting.

Just do it. Go to war Synbad. DO it for the betterment of the club.

Sponsors like winners....

Sticks hasnt won anything since 1995.....

Hes the only man being on the losing end of 3 presidential campaigns and having a presidency handed to him..

Reckon sponsors care about Sticks or having their hard earnt making money for them on the back of a juggernaut...

Sure he has blokes in a board room with him.. who never got the chance to play along side of him on the MCG dagging off him... but thats whats wrong with things right now isnt it??
Its just the fools cant see it...

Pratt kept it all together for the bunch of them till now...

Sticks knows what they are... but he isnt even ashamed... any man worth his salt with his decision making record would understand its best to keep away from the biggish decisions and up...
