Agree DB Walker and Waite are our two most versatile players and we lack flexibility because of it

As for kicking skills absolutely woeful last night but handball wasnt much better - really suffered from Collingwood pressure early and never recovered

Shows we have come a fair way but have a fair way to go- top 4 side beat us - shockingly inept performance last night and twice been embarrassed on a big stage Friday night - unbelievable really that we were only 18 points behind 20 mins into the third quarter

Desperately need Setanta Walker Jamison to play - the loss of Setanta at CHF has really affected the forward structure - didnt get why Austin wasnt tried at CHF last night

You obviously havent been watching Blake Gwilt Jones Ball Gilbert Baker Gram etc kick footballs before this year...

Or Ben Johnston... OBrien Maxwell Dane Swann... and there are a afew there.....

If youre playing to a game structure and understand what you need to do your skills will just pick up....
If you have no clue... everything falls away..

Development and footy dept are struggling at Carlton....

Theyre about 4 years behind the good sides...

And there is no excuse for it..

And how many forwards have you named in all that ? How many of the players have you named play in their teams forward line regularly ?

Even some of the ones you name have "something" to their kicking. For example with Gram he has penetration ... kicks over a line which can then bypass a flood. Maxwell I find is a good long kick. Swann ... doesn't miss many goals on the run. WE are four years behind the good sides because four years ago they were playing finals whilst we were winning wooden spoons. We started a long way back.

Nevertheless back to the point and that is we have too many players with kicking flaws ... many have a multiple flaw ... no penetration, no accuracy and no tricks ... some miss the lot.

Were 4 years behind in set ups and structures as well as gameplan.

You reckon Hayes is a beautiful kick do you?
Or Hudgton?
Or Kosi and Riewoldt are just fantastic kicks all the way through their careers?

I can go through the whole StKilda list and over big chunks of alot of the careers of the those playrs they have struggled with their disposal...

Where they look good is they have a great gameplan and like Collingwood all their players understand what they must do before the ball is in their hands... by the time you win it and then have the uncertainty of what to do with it.. even blokes like B Gibbs and Juddy are going to dispose of it poorly at times.

Cluttered minds .... cluttered play....

simple as that....

Our development is terrible...

simple as that......

Missing a target 20 metres away has nothing to do with Ratts. At some point the boys need to take some responsibility for their efforts. Constantly blaming the coach will leave us with a team full of players like Stevens and Scotland.

Why would we get rid of Pagan if we have the same in Ratts????

Oh heere we go...

if were going to get rid of Pagan for having an undrilled unskilled unit... why not get rid of Ratten??

Why is Ratten the only coach that doesnt get the spotlight for having guys playing poorly???

Whats rubbish about that????
