Totally agree with u DB in the end we could not hit an elephant with a shotgun in a flowering minivan!

I honestly believe we were the better team tonight we just did not click, fumbled and turned over the pill on way too many occasions which cost us the game. If we stayed composed and used the footy better we would have won.

The filth did not win ... we just gave it to them gift wrapped!

bananas.
if the players are good it won't matter about the coaching.
north won two premierships under pagan, maybe they would have won more had they had a different coach but nonetheless if you have the cattle, you're almost there.
st kilda made preliminary finals under that idiot thomas.

senior players struggling?
Judd is in brownlow form.
Fevi s leading the coleman.
Waite was brilliant before he got injured.

Young players treading water?

Is Gibbs struggling?
Is Murphy?
Is Kreuzer?

If you have talent the coach doesn't matter.

Our problem is to get a good player we need to poach them or haev pick 1. Ratten isn't the best option for coach, I respect that. But Ratten alone doesn't explain why a side with Judd, Fevola, Murphy, Gibbs and Kreuzer may well miss finals this year. Some blame has to be given to that guru of recruiting and effective lobbyist, Wayne Hughes.

Young players like the Collingwood players??

Ummmm look.. its just no good sugar coating poor coaching... shitchouse tactics and players who are not being developed.

We either have the right people there or we dont....

You cannot say by looking at our players that theyre improving tactically ... that their deficiencies are improving... or that theyre coming along...

Joey Anderson would be a super player at collingwood... they have players like him doing playing great roles...

We just cant seem to bring them along...

... and the side is always looking lost in the heat of a battle...

but sure... we can kick back and watch the last half of last weeks game...... dont watch the first half mind you....

In my opinion we have the raw talent... what we dont have is the key to extract the best out of them....

our kids are treading water... or sinking.... and our senior players are struggling...

so the questions need to be asked................

So by that logic the Swans gave us last weeks game on a silver platter...???? how can you be the better side and lose by 9 goals? I'd prefer we were the worst side and lost by 9 goals at least then you had room to improve...how to improve when ur the better side and get flogged.... :sly:

I agree, Why the @#$%&! are we paying a coach when we've got Judd, Fev and three number 1 draft picks!!!!

Poor decision by the club to hire a coach.

Jeez you're weird Verbs. Do you think that somehow excuses us? Don't you think that could be more of a problem of our own making rather than an excuse? It's a bit like the bloke who says "but I was Drunk!" :? When is the cut-off point? When does it become high time that we had at least an equal amount of good players to Collingwood? :?:

... and more inportantly how could we allow our centre square at one point to have Hartlett, Bentley, Carrazzo and Grigg all at once.

Geez you are weird Paf. If I was the drunk guy excusing myself about CARLTON'S loss, like it was MY FAULT, by saying "but I was Drunk!" you'd have a point, but your "excuses" attitude is moronic.

If you think your "excuses" issue is the problem and if "we" stop making excuses we'll somehow miraculously win games of football...well I'll have to question once again why you even bother.

Bugger me...Collingwood TRIED to win tonight? :? You've got to be KIDDING! :garthp:

Gibbs is underperforming.
Kreuzer isnt.
Murphy so so...

But were talking about the cream of the drafts...

And yes the coach is important... do you truly really believe the players coach themselves these days????

Gram Gwilt and Blake came up with the StKilda gameplan....???

Or Croad and Stewie Dew came up with Geelongs last year???

How youre prepared to go out in the middle to do battle is EVERYTHING!!!

It was a gutless, inept, embarassing performance by our lot.

Very disappointing.

Not much more to be said, really.

You are weird. The fact that you actualy wrote that and made it sound like it made sense even though it doesn't is pure mad-genius. I'll have to retire now, I can't match that.

Forward set up!!!

Has not been right all year! Set up alows the oppositions loose man in defence to choose which player to double team. Elementry forward set up's can be improved!!! Quicker long leading forwards (Edwards) need to be tried, very useful to draw defenders from the 50 arch!!!

Players who are simply not good enough to gather the ball below thier knee's!!!!

Need to pose a problem for the opposition, and cause them to change their structure, have not seen that to often this year.

Ball movement, so predictable, why not push fev up the ground (to lead presti up) as a decoy whilst dropping Fisher deep in the square??? Leaving Betts and Yarran to crumb between the two!!!!

No thought in isolating O'Brien, deep!!!! Known to be vulnerable when the pressure is on.

Please push Gibbs forward of centre.

Final note, take a look at Sydneys strategy in opening their oppostions forward 50 (yes I'm aware we stiched them up last week) but they are very efficient when scoring. Generally playing around the flanks, first kick to forward 50, draws a forward outside the 50 for a mark their respective oppostion player is also drawn out, leaving a whole behind them, the next kick almost certainly will be kicked into that space.

It's smart and very efficient, and if used with a talented forward line, the rewards could be very fruitful.

Had to get that of my chest, so dissapointed!!!

Go Blues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
