Frustration is the overriding theme of the night - aimed fairly at our beloved coaching staff.

We won a lot of ball in the 2nd and 3rd quarter, enough to hit the front, but we huffed and puffed and with the legendary forward set up designed by Messrs Ratten and Lappin (great appointment process for both), couldn't even take a mark inside 50.

People were getting all precious about the Ratten thread being at 60 pages - get ready for 100! Tonight was a disgrace!!

PROS

1. Paul Bower is a gem

2. AJ is a gem

3. Matthew Kreuzer is possesed by the footy gods. How good is he. I like Hammer too

4. Mark Austin good player

5. Jordan Russel is no longer in the bottom 5 players in the side

CONS

1. Brett Ratten - you have had 2 years to come up with a forward setup, a kickout setup and a way to move the ball. I have seen nothing. It is becoming a joke

Hooray, we beat 14th, 15th And 16th - 3 in a row!!!!

The first halves against Freo, Sydney and Collingwood have been inept - that is when the game plan then gets changed and we look OK. He is struggling and anyone who denies it is kidding themselves

Have you seen Carlton get out coached more times in 1 season?

2. Don’t let anyone tell you our kicking was bad and there were lots of clangers - That is so because there was NOBODY to kick to. No setup. Players don’t forget how to kick in 7 days

3. Chris Johnson couldn’t get a game for Melbourne. Nuff said

4. Fisher was shown up

5. We are a farce unless Judd or Fev go Bananas - those 2 footballers mask a pathology in the coaching box that is obvious!

Treading water - but we will beat 14th placed team next week and Sticks will extend Sensei Ratten’s contract for 5 years

Cons

- playing too many rotational midfielders
- bottom 6 are still terrible
- Hammer is not dukish enough for such a big lad, and we get no hitouts to advantage
- If any team puts us under pressure, we lose.
- Johnson...why is he kicking out?
- spent too much gas in the 2nd and 3rd for no reward
- 4.16

The greatest amount of unnecessary/unrewarded running you will ever see. How many times to we break from the backline/wing, and have 4 or 5 blokes within 10 m of the ball carrier, none being used, none sheparding....and none spreading or down the field to kick to. We play rugby style, without actually knocking the ball around and breaking lines.

I couldn't agree more Simon

Pros:
- Kreuzer is a total gun
- Juddy is amazing (too bad he has to hold the whole side together)
- Hampson tries his guts out
- AJ is looking more and more like a solid footballer every day - what a find!

Cons:
- Coaching staff should not last the season. I don't care what Ratten and Braddly has done for us in the past, they are totally flowering us up.
- Whoever is the skills coach needs to hand in his resignation with an OPEN apology to call carlton members and supports (I will be waiting for the mail)
- I was right infront of the coaches box the whole game. Ratten did not give a stuff. We were totally outcoached and he looked like a kid who handed in a half arsed assignment... it was a vacant, stupid, gutless look.
- I'm sorry... 4 GOALS IN 4 QUARTERS!!!! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- What is with our starts? I can only remember the last Richmond game when we scored the first goal. I'd love to see the % of games where we are ahead at the end of the 1st and 2nd quarters.

we are @#$%&! pathetic at centre bounces. its been a constant theme all season but even richmond killed us in this department. @#$%&! richmond. its incredibly hard to win games when you let teams clear the ball with so much ease.

pro - the heart - this side couldn't bag a goal all night yet they ran and ran and ran
Kruise - when he makes a mistake - look out, that means he gets the ball back. Freak!
Defence - no forward line - we should have lost by 150 points tonight - we didn't because of defence
Kruise - deserves two mentions.
Judd - I love Judd
Simmo - ran so hard, so hard and so often.

Cons
Crickets in the forward line
Fev hurt himself - Fev out of the game
To me, this was Ratts worst coaching of the year - he lost the matchups in the first quarter - game over. He must get better at that first 15/20 minutes of football.
Kicking - well, umm, you know, hit a chest....

Watching guy next to me smash the chair in front of him, with a better kick then the blues did all night.

Pros:
Not many tonight...Kruezer....not much else.

Cons:
Tactics in the first half again....were defensive and re-active. It's like we play the wait and see approach and then re-assess if we are getting reamed.

We need to be more pro-active and please Ratts give us one week where we don't tag anybody just one week. It's ok using a pure tagger such as Joseph for a stopping role but we also use creative players as stoppers...why?

Pros:
Kruze
Judd
Joseph
Russell
Bower
All tried their guts out

Cons:
What did they see in Johnnson to go and recruit him?
Fisher, Bentley, and Hartlett arent the future and should never play again
Ratten and his coaching team are a disorganised rabble - twice tonight we had Hartlett rucking in the centre while Kruze and Hammer were on the wing/hff...amazing stuff. Pretty sure that lead to one of davis freak goals from an easy centre clearance

Should this be true, it should be a con.

Naming anyone in the worst is pretty poor by anyone tonight.

We desperately miss Santy/Waite up forward.

Yep to fev centric so to speak but god without a CHF we have nothing else.

Maybe should have given Cloke a run (even unaccountable as he is).

Anyone bagging Harts should have another look at his game - biggest postive is he got through another unscathed but other than that he showed some real promise.

Biggest Pros

AJ - what a gun.

Kreuz - Gun - simply nothing else to add.

Cons - Those weak reactive pricks that cannot see our improvemnent and can but help look for negatives - get a @#$%&! life.

Biggest Pro - My pregnat wife made me forgoe time in the inner circle this week offer by a good mate ( Pie supporters with incredable connections). Next year Pistol.

Pro:
Kruzer - great application - would like another 15 of him
Bower, Austin, T Bird all played well under duress - and developing
Hammer tried - will make mistakes so people need to get over it
Russell not our worst - is improving

Cons:
Collingwood loose man in defence all night
Smashed in the centre clearances - have struggled all season
CHF please.....anywhere.....someone.......
Bottom 5 players contribute very little - depth is as shallow as a puddle
cant handle a zone - hopefully its an application thing and not a plan thing (or lack thereof)
Can we please switch play to advantage - often do this and have nothing to kick to other than a contest.

PRO:

Kruezer, Joseph, Thornton, Bower, Judd ... in fact I thought are backline was not too bad. When Leon Wanker kicked that goal from the boundary in the first quarter you knew it was going to be their night.

CONS:

We made the mistake again of going into the game too top heavy. Playing Sydney and playing Collingwood are not the same thing.

How we have assembled a squad of players that lack kicking skills and footy smarts. If people think we have assembled a side with good kicking skills then they have been hanging around Wayne Hughes too long. Too many of our players don't peel off correctly ... they play like magnets to the team mate that wins the footy ... this costs them time and space ... this is footy smarts.

Joseph
Bower
Bentley in patches

Walks, Wiggo and Warnock are on the park in the Ants

Pretty well everyone else tonight.
Kicking out from a point
Tackling (or lack thereof)
Gameplan (or lack thereof)
