Are you serious???

We battled it out.

Just out classed and completely out coached.

Do not blame the players here. Our coach is pathetic.

I've held back from saying but after tonight i will........... Ask Nick Stevens why he he's really not playing and why Scottland was dropped............ bad mouthing the coach and got found out.

THE PLAYERS DON'T BELIEVE IN RATTEN. Its sad when the president has to continually reassure the players that it will come good.

I have heard a different version of events Melv. From what i hear you can thank god Judd is captaining the blues.

Against the worst ruck division, i dont remember one effective tap going to our rovers...and about 10 straight to the filth. Poor.
Can hammer stop running under the ball...the amount of balls he gets his hands on and drops is ridiculus.
Why is Johnson taking the kick-ins?

Geez we missed big setanta.

It's great to see him developing into a future premiership player.

dont tell me we are trading him

Number 17 is only a couple of years away.

Slowly, with a few backwards steps, but we'll be there soon enough  Maybe with a couple of key changes but it won't be too long.

Bad mouth the coach and get found out, forget about playing. Simple. You ever played at a footy club?

Coach didn't make us kick like 12 year olds. I muffed half a dozen kicks tonight, think I'm going to blame that on the coach. Nup. I cracked under pressure.

He was made the scape goat. He is not the only one saying these things!

What things?

Why make him a scapegoat and not anyone else? Your logic is lacking.

Yep - I left early and I almost never do that.. disgraceful, insipid performance from the whole team - coaches included. Not only did the players lack intensity, they broke team rules and played unaccountable football. Would have thought playing a game for the Richard Pratt Cup that would further enhance our finals chances would mean more. Too many passengers...too many getting lost...too many making basic mistakes...and obviously there's something wrong somewhere - either the message isn't getting through - or the message isn't very good.

I'm normally 'Glass Half Full' too - - but they lost me tonight...can't defend that crap. The better drilled team won.

Well Some others were dropped and another hasn't played a game since the freo one

Ratten had to let it known amongst the boys that he'd be taken serious from now on.

All started from the game against the crows.

Dosent matter...its the players fault.

Marc Murphy
Matthew Kreuzer
Shaun Grigg

And your problem is?

Sounds like you'd like him to be soft just so we can field a stronger team.

If you reckon the players left out because they bag his tactics would actually make us a better side, then who are we looking at? Stevens, Wiggins, Cloke, Bannister, Browne, Armfield, Garlett, Hadley, Robinson??? You're dreaming.

Now we get to listen to the dills and their knee-jerk reactions.

##$%^$# me, imagine a young side being inconsistent having some good one's and having some shockers. Hard to believe we're 9-8. Had some good wins against good sides, some close losses and a couple of shockers. This was unexpected? Of course it was, we have to win all 22 games or we're all no good and the coach has to be sacked. People do though give u a laugh.

Some on here must be rejects from Bitchmond.

What I want to know is, at the beginning of the year I am sure I heard that Carlton will accept nothing less than playing finals for 2009.

If we dont play finals in 2009, will Ratten step down ??????

He won't.

and we won't be made to step down.

this club is only going backwards having him directing this club.

I have said it before.... no Garlett + no Setanta = no forward line pressure. Can't win games like this without some passion there.

He'd have no choice because that is the goal he clearly set pre-season.

There disposal was just terrible - Cant question their effort just the turn overs were horrible

Hampson dropped 4 sitters tonight coughed the ball up twice with errant handballs - all his mistakes resulted in goals to them

Lesson for recruiters - pick footballers

Thorton was our best and Jospeh and Bower tried their guts out

Cloke would have been better than Hartlett - every ordinary game from Adam

And Fev proved once again why we will never go anywhere with out another forward target

Fish was ordinary
Yarren very quiet
Betts patchy
Gibbs costly at times but gathered plenty of the ball
Russel average
Bentley not up to it

Johnsons disposal is terrible cnt think of how he was recruited for his kicking

We will struggle to make the 8 and are 2 years away from being a serious contender

From round 1 2005 to round 22 2007 we won 11 games.

Since then we've won 19.

Pagan 11 wins in 3 years, Ratten 19 in two with more to come hopefully in 2009.

It's simple maths that escapes simple minds.

The pie fans on their site were calling for Malthouse's head at the start of the year and again after they got flogged last week.
It seems a common thread. When your team loses take it out on your coach.

The blues lost tonight because they were not switched on early. They chased tail all night. The magpies are a good side at the moment. Malthouse has made a few tweaks here and there and they have got their balance right.

We deserved to lose.

Hope we leant some lessons tonight, hit the track hard this week and turn up next week breathing fire.

How much is Buckley a tosser, listening to him on the aftergame, you would think Collingwood have just won 7 premierships in a row.
Buckley is a tosser of the highest magnitude.
