Since we have gone quite tall I'm guessing the weather will be fine.

Is that correct?

I need to know as I'm going down to put my $ on the Navy Blue train.

Another vital game for us.

Despite our recent good record against them, we will go in as slight underdogs. They have a forwardline this time and they will be on the rebound after getting flogged last week.

I think we'll win, but it will be tough.

Go Blues

I wouldn't worry about our height. Austin, T-Bird, Bower, Jamo can all play on medium types which Collingwood is full of. In past encounters Jamo has usually taken Medhurst, T-Bird on Didak.

What our height gives us is flexibility if Dawes/Brown are thrown forward at any time.

The Friday ORACLE
Where once there were clouds, there will be blue and white lining.
The Presti will fade, the Fev will rise.
The Betts and Yarran will be silky, and slippery, and many goals will there be.
The team will play as one...(mostly)..it will not be easy until the last..
but.....The Blues will be Mr Mojo Risin'.....risin' rising
Carlton by........Eddie betts jumper no.

Poor Setanta, Fev really stuffed him up too.

OK, can ANYONE shed light on why Setanta is out for a 3rd flowering week???? This is bullshit - is it seriously from the Fev knee? How can that be when he played his best ever game the following week? WTF is wrong with the boy? Bueller?

Greg Swann was on the radio today and was asked about Setanta. He said that he got kneed in the back and was okay the next week. The bleeding from the bruise then went down his back to his hamstrings. Said he should be right next week.

One footy "expert" thinks we'll win..

http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/81322/default.aspx

Archer reckons we've got it over the Pies in the midfield/ruck, and with Fraser out, I too think Krooze and Hammer will give them a run for their money

Our midfield is better than theirs, our backline, for mine, a fraction better than their forward line and our forward line is better than their backline. Should be a win and fifth spot.

If anyone is in Sydney and want a place to watch the game, a group of us will be at the Windsor Castle in Paddo.

That's 29 rows back. Nothing flash thats for sure, I dont like your chances of getting much better at this stage though.

I am excited and confident and looking forward to it. Great seats at MCG home games - in front of the Lindsey Hassett room.

Only problem is, last time we played a Friday night blockbuster at the G, I was also confident.... did not work out......

I hate C'wood - really, really, really want the team to not just beat them but wipe the floor with their ugly jumper.... :fight:

Well they did say he was gonna be out for 4 weeks yesterday and then he was named in the side, but this does sound more plausible, hope he plays because Hartlett is not upto it as we saw last week
