Jeez, Dick is pretty stiff...

I agree..... With Dick out, you would have thought that they would have brought Cox straight in - like for like. Without a Dick or Cox, the filth are looking very impotent indeed.

Maybe they were concerned that Dick was spending too much time around Brown and the resultant effect that would have on Goldsack? Apparently Goldsack is always hanging around with Dick but is not too keen on being near Brown.

Either way, the supply Goldsack provides is crucial to Dick's overall performance, particularly at the end when it matters most.

:donk:

What I don't get is how you can have Wood without a Dick. Doesn't matter if the high-Beams are on, or whether it's Reid-thin, if you don't have anything to Pendle-Bury you've got nothing that can Ma-xwell.

Unless Dick gives Sidebottom a good slap? Maybe then he will be recalled.

OK, can ANYONE shed light on why Setanta is out for a 3rd flowering week???? This is bullshit - is it seriously from the Fev knee? How can that be when he played his best ever game the following week? WTF is wrong with the boy? Bueller?

Must say that I'm not overly confident about this one.
It's not that I think they are better......I feel they might be a little more hungry as we have beaten them the last 3 times and they will want to bounce back from a loss last week. On the other hand we might be feeling content after 3 wins in a row.

Fingers crossed this isn't the case.

Humpers I'd like to think that our boys are also hungry for some finals action too.

I'm definitely nervous, and more so than I was last week.

The burden of expectation is giving me butterflies.

Great to see Jamo back. In terms of structure, I reckon he's one of our most important players. We really need him to stand up over the next 6 weeks...

No Carlos again... :?

Well done to Austin. Responded well in the VFL last week. Hope he grabs his opportunity.

Armfield named as an emergency, so obviously over his injury from last week.

Important for us to get off to a good start in this game IMO.

Let's hope we see a different Carlton to the one that last played on a Friday night at the 'G...

Go Blues!!!

I think the Swans have played us into form. We'll smash em'.

In fact if the Cats pick up another couple of injuries we could hit the finals on a 9 match winning streak.

What? ... did I go too far?

I'm with you.

Really want to beat the filth by 10 goals.
They've picked a fast side. Not tall at all.

We'll kill them in the guts, and if we do as we should we can throw Carrots and Gibbs in there if they start in the back half.

Sad about Setanta. He really would have stretched them big time. But Fisher is running the hardest he ever has, albeit not express. He's doing a lot of fast kms so he should hurt Dawes,
No doubt Kreuzer and Hammer will also spend some time in the forwardline.

Get it to Fev and he'll bag 10 against them. And another 10 to Betts, Yarrran, Fisher, Murphy, Judd, Houlihan, Simpson, Scotland and Ibet Austin too.

Yep, the Swans game played us in form. We're just starting our momentum towards the finals. Warnock, Walker and Setanta to come and presssure starting to mount from Armfield, Hadley, Stevens, Robinson. Garlett, Browne, Hartlett...and even Cloke.

Stevens ommission has sent a cracker up everyone: 3 weeks in a row, That's a message and a half!
I'm sure he'll fight his way back soon too.

Pressure for spots will just further increase concentration. If we were concentrating in the 4th Q against the Swans, then I shudder to think what we'll do to the Pies.

We more than meet their match. We're their bogey team.

Blues vs Pies? Blues simply unbeatable.

I'll give Pies supporters 6 goals in. We'll win by 10.

Crikey.......the return of the SWAGGER or what ?? But I do like your style Bondi, and you make some good points. Pies are slight favs but the Baggers have shortened right up and may just start favs tommorrow. A fair dinkum "8 point game" in front of 90 at the Gee against the old Filth . Home and aways don't get much bigger than this

Reckon we've turned the corner, and Ratts will keep on the attacking theme after the 2nd half last week. The only bloke we have to tag heavily is Dids, stop him and we win easily. Baggers by 29
