Hi guys, my name is Jack.

I currently just started semester 2 at uni where I am studying primary school teaching.

Our latest assignment requires us to take a 'cultural plunge' where we feel a certain discomfort being the minority.
Apparently it will help us approach dealing with children who themselves are part of a minority group or just feel left out.

Immediately I thought of being surrounded by Collingwood supporters. But I don't want to die.

So next best thing was Carlton supporters.
I have plenty of Carlton supporter friends but in order for us to be completely uncomfortable, it would be better for me if i were to go with people I don't know.

So i extend an invitation, (or more of a cry for help) to any Carlton supporter who would be willing to catch up before and after the game and show me how a real Carlton supporter barracks.

The game against the kangas is what I'd be looking at.

Yes I am an Essendon* supporter (not a blitzer) but not a typical one dont worry.

If anyone is brave enough, i understand if not, please let me know.

It would be a wiser move to go to the footy with a TC member and non-Carlton supporter such as Sedat, ADP, Mandy, Old55, Melvey, Demon2 and Cooloola.

look, I'll probably end up going with my friends, but kind of defeats the purpose.

I realise the need for all Essendon* and carlton supporters to hate eachother, I get that.

I'm not a complete diehard (might offend some of you) which is probably why I thought this might've been an outside chance haha.

But really I'm just interested in getting a grade by watching some footy!

You seem like a reasonable and pretty pleasant fella, and this frightens me. Meeting an Essendon* supporter who is a good bloke could very well alter my world view in unimaginable ways that could send me into a downward spiral of Lovecraftian madness

Welcome to TC. Enjoy. Perhaps you should go to carlton collingwood for a REAL experience. I've been to 2 anzac day games in full carlton gear (refuse to wear anything else) and copped a spray like you wouldnt believe. . It was sending a transexual into a texan NRA meeting.
