Let me help you with this one BTB.
Melvey has been spruiking Richardson and Knights as great coaching candidates whilst he consistently has bagged Ratten.

His previous post to bag Ratten stated
Quote:
My issue is the lack of 1 %'ers that our boys fail to do out there and for each other.

The amount of times i could of yelled out block FFS, shepherd, hit em, look towards goal first, run, don't turn your back to the play.

Now, if he wants to bag Ratten and throw up alternative options, lets see how those alternatives fare.
Essendon* are 16th for blocks in the AFL. The same blocks Melvey is yelling out for.
Surely he'd be far more frustrated if Richardson or Knights were coaching Carlton.

Thank God we've got Ratten instead hey?

It's also funny how our blokes who don't shepherd, etc, etc, have had Joseph in the top three in the AFL for shepherds and Bower in the top three for 1 %'ers for most of the season.

We still need to improve, but where has Melvey been for the dark years that he can't see that we are much better in these areas.

If Melvey can't handle that, and I'm pretty sure I've seen him put up with far more torrid stuff, maybe he should be nominated for the HTFU award...

Has nothing to do with that post.

I'm not having a sook. Don't need to HTFU. I actually find some replies funny and don't take it to heart or even serious as most of you actually think. I think i take the piss out of myself. Like i said it's all good

Honestly, im sure there are plenty of you who are over reading (clogging) bickering posts between me and several posters. It doesn't make for a lovely harmonious TalkingCarlton community. Hence why i think its best to remove myself from here and let people enjoy this site!

who gives a shit!! you have an opinion, right or wrong, its yours so express it. some will agree, some wont, times goes on, and the thing is, in the end i doesnt mean a thing. trust me, if there is anyone that knows what its like to go against popular opinion its me ;)

so i say HTFU and get on with it.

I agree. I've never asked for the discontented to shutup, I've only ever asked them to be reasonable with what they ask and what they say, and the way it's expressed.

Everyone can, and should, express their opinions, but you have to expect to be called on it every so often, and be able to back your stance up.

I'm not sure you are ever going to get Synbad for example to be reasonable

I'll just settle for pointing out what you think is wrong with their statements and having a few laughs at the sillier stuff. You can't make people do what you see as reasonable. Reasonable has different meanings for different people for a start

The key for everyone is not to get uptight about comments on a forum. It should be water off a ducks back, although some of the funnier posts have been a consequence of someone spitting the dummy

Totally agree that if you are going to write something you should be able to back it up and those that get outraged at having to do so are pretty much saying "I've got nothing"

Well...I think we covered the Ratts "Yes he can" "No he can't" in the first few pages and in previous threads. We have just been padding out the thread since  Indulge us

This thread should be closed on the same basis that TalkingPlayers was closed. Circular arguments and pot shots.

They have already closed Ratts is a dud threads before, for those very reasons. Even some of the jokes have been the same in some of the threads (more groundhog day). There have been a few contradictions from thread to thread that have been funny, but probably not enough to justify our obsession with the topic. Moths to a flame for some myself included

For those with a bit more common sense Ratts threads should be avoided like the plague

I guess we are just a self indulgent lot

When it comes to 1%ers don't leave out Austin and Jamo. Both no fuss footballers who get the job done.
