Its pretty clear that im ruffling a few feathers (not intentionally i promise you). I enjoy posting on this site but think its pretty clear i've become a nuisance (or troll as i've been called) rather than a solid contributor. Im not making it easy for the mods on here and they are doing a great job at given us an outlet to share the Navy Blue love.

Not having a sook. Its all good and don't worry im not going to try re-register under another name or what ever. Just happy to read and not post

GO THE MIGHTY BLUE BOYS and fwiw WE ARE COMING!!!!!

I think you have that group confused with the 'How about saying something positive for a change' posters.

There actually is a difference between the two.

I don't think you're a troll, Melvey, I just disagree with you. I'm quite happy to call you on things you say which I find ridiculous.

FWIW, ruffling feathers is fine. Necessary, even. But just don't expect every thing you say to be taken in the manner in which it was posted.

I don't recall ever seeing any post ever demanding only positive things be posted.

The thing a lot of people want is posting with no hidden agendas and some sense behind them.

Differing opinions are welcomed, and intelligent debate is relished, but not, it would seem, by some, who seem to crack the sads when their line of "logic" is shown as flawed.

melvey stated that Carlton's 1% must improve. The line of logic to disprove this was to point out that Essendon* is 16th in the AFL for 1%

his posts were described as 'uninformed' and 'make no earthly sense'....

By one poster.

And the basis of this line of logic, was that Melvey was constantly saying how much further ahead than we are. So IMO that line was well justified.

If Melvey can't handle that, and I'm pretty sure I've seen him put up with far more torrid stuff, maybe he should be nominated for the HTFU award...

Let me help you with this one BTB.
Melvey has been spruiking Richardson and Knights as great coaching candidates whilst he consistently has bagged Ratten.

His previous post to bag Ratten stated
Quote:
My issue is the lack of 1 %'ers that our boys fail to do out there and for each other.

The amount of times i could of yelled out block FFS, shepherd, hit em, look towards goal first, run, don't turn your back to the play.

Now, if he wants to bag Ratten and throw up alternative options, lets see how those alternatives fare.
Essendon* are 16th for blocks in the AFL. The same blocks Melvey is yelling out for.
Surely he'd be far more frustrated if Richardson or Knights were coaching Carlton.

Thank God we've got Ratten instead hey?

Has nothing to do with that post.

I'm not having a sook. Don't need to HTFU. I actually find some replies funny and don't take it to heart or even serious as most of you actually think. I think i take the piss out of myself. Like i said it's all good

Honestly, im sure there are plenty of you who are over reading (clogging) bickering posts between me and several posters. It doesn't make for a lovely harmonious TalkingCarlton community. Hence why i think its best to remove myself from here and let people enjoy this site!

But what would we do without you Melvey ...

Please stay ...but I have one word of advice ... occassionally, just occassionally post something positive. It will completely throw all ur knockers.

U have made a number of good points in the past but to be honest I have never seen a positive post from u in the 6 months I have been on TC.

We as Carlton lovers have a lot more to be proud of this year than many a year gone by so although constructive critisism is always appreciated, a bit of well done boys, really liked this and that woud also be appreciated.

No need to kick the dog everytime u come home ... it will not bite if you pat it once in a while.

As far as I can see you've been called a troll since you have been on the forum  What's changed now?

Even in your farewell speech you can't be taken seriously. Why claim you don't like ruffling a few feathers when you obviously do  Calling Ratts a hack coach for example isn't exactly something that supports your claim.

Who is going to watch Synbad's back now?

I for one may think you are a bit of a spanner and a very negative bloke, but it takes all types to make the world go around. As I have written before calls for the discontented to shutup are pointless.

Everyone no matter how negative and at times silly is entitled to their view
