When you stop and think about it we are going into this game pretty thin....

Jamo
Waite
Walker
Setanta
Warnock (arguably)
Stevens (In some peoples opinion)

They are not only in the best 22, but they are so crucial to our structure and include the first preferences for FB, CHB and CHF.

This game will be a massive test but as someone else mentioned, the thought of rolling the pies to make it 4 straight, with North to come, is a pretty exciting prospect.

I would like to see Austin come in, maybe for Hartlett (although i think he was a little hard done bylast week)

I also wouldn't mind seeing Walker come back in. Ordinarily I would be advocating he gets another week in the twos, but not being at full strength means there are a couple of guys in the team that I would trade for even a rusty 1AW.

If they say the shoulder is okay, it's okay. As long as we replace him for a player not so talented, I'd be happy to bring him in.

We know he's got enduro to burn and speed on his side. Maybe just bring him in to run beside and negate a possession getter for the Pies.

and with respect - im glad you're not on the match committee

Not matter who much running, training you do or how fit you are, it doesn't compare to being match conditioned. He's played 40 minutes of football in a year and you wanna bring him back in.

Again Melvey, that's something I'll leave to the fitness staff. I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I don't know how you can possibly know what condition his shoulder is in :? . They say it's 100% and probably stronger than it's ever been, but you doubt that - good for you  .

We need to watch Dids and Leon. Other than that we should follow on from the last qtr against Sydney and take the game on.

Cant rest AJ for the kangapoos game he's the perfect matchup to quell the effectiveness of harvey who looks like he's coming back into a bit of form.

Can't keep flogging him either... is clearly feeling the pinch. Next 'low-stakes' match isn't until round 21: Melbourne. I'd rather get him fresh for Ablett and chance our arm that we can beat the rest of North's midfield.

Agree. Both Didak and Davis are the barometer's of this side.

Can't see Medhurst, Didak, Davis and Swan having bad games again.

Aj could do with a rest. Maybe bring in Ellard to do a Joseph type of job for a week or two

Agree with the first part, shake my head and laugh at the second.

But unfortunately with Armfield rolling his ankle, we need Jospeh to man Leon or Didak (Dids isn't quick but has a mean side-step).

Why is the second point laughable. Its easy to write shit like 'thats laughable' or use those stupid icons, back it up with a reason which helps strengthen your point.

Let me get this right about Stevo.

An Ants reports from y'day say he had "5 touches" in the first half and was rested for "half of the last quarter".

Geez, he must have had a hell of a third quarter. Anyone see his name in the best players?

Wait till he's FIT and gets more of it, FFS.

If both Jamo & Carlos ready:

Ins - Jamo, Carlos
Outs - Ando (stiff), Harts.

Otherwise, Aussie for Harts.

It's been proven this year that ants form doesn't necessarily count.

Would not surprise me in the slightest if Stevo's promoted.

Melbourne (twice)
Brisbane
North
WCE
Port
Sydney
Freo
Essendon* (once)
Dogs (by 1 point)

I'm not that worried - I think we will win

heard stevo was playing aswell, thought that must be lies after i read the bullants report, seems like other people heard those whispers aswell, thats shocking if true bc thats pre planned and shows he doesnt have to give it his all in the bullants to get promoted.

i would only drop hartlett, sorry to say this bc i like the bloke but he is shit,, basics he gets wrong like being 1 metre behind the bloke when he is leading up the ground, wake up buddy i was thinking, i would put in Jamo if fit or setanta but not both, walker to stay in the resies

Aj to didak
russell to shaw
whos gonna play on swan?

I don't think he's shit.

He just doesn't have the closing speed that the elite fullbacks have.

He provides a physical presence for his team mates and a beautiful penetrating kick.

Might or mightn't make the AFL grade, but he's not shit, IMO.

been saying it all year, dont rate them at all, and to be honest, im not too worried about beating the crows - they are a different side at AAMI no doubt, but they havent beaten much outside of adelaide.

here is something i have been following as i have a couple collingwood and Essendon* mates.

carlton is 4W/4L against top 8 sides (lost two games by under 10 points)
carlton is 5W/3L against bottom 8 sides (lost two games by under 10 points)

Essendon* is 3W/6L against top 8 sides (and two wins by under a goal)
Essendon* is 5W/2L against bottom 8 sides

collingwood 3W/5L is against top 8 sides (won 1 by under a goal, lost won by under a goal)
collingwood 7W/1L is against bottom 8 sides

harts aint gonna make it....

tried him up forward, tried him down back....maybe it was the injuries but....facts are facts.

he's not quick enough to get way on a lead...

he's not quick enough to keep up on a lead ....and

he's not strong enough to consistently outbody an opponent.

as much as it hurts me to say it, let's move on.

we got that one wrong.

You can't just throw him in here and there and think its all going to work.

For example, Jesse White new the exacts spots to lead to. He understood his role, is being groomed for this and is not a spare parts man.

um, you do know Jesse White was recruited as a back up ruckmen rather than a key forward right?

they are using him in this role becuase of hall's retirement.
