I was very happy with the way the team went on the weekend and I am stoked with the way the lads are developing and growing. Each week they get a little better and more self assured. Gladens the heart, it does.

BUT

Please, please ban the "Hold the ball in the air, to slow play down' signal. Every single time we do it I go "Oh, Oh heres two goal to the opposition" And we always seem to do it when we have a bit of a run on. Any player doing this should be immediately dragged and hung upside down from the interchange bench roof.

Cheers
BM

Why would you drag a player that is following your strict instructions? :? .

Pretty sure the signal is used for a couple of different things like, keep possession or if i dont kick short ill kick long or make space in the corridor so we can run it through so i dont think its as predictable as we think. It gets under my skin too though

Seen it on the weekend. Then, the ball ended up in Bower's hands and I thought to myself, there goes that idea!

What about the exploding fist bump our players do after a goal. That one is cool!

Always thought that was a "Fev and Eddie" thing. But saw Simmo do it last week too. Don't really like it personally...seems a bit too "try hardish...". I prefer the traditional normal fist pumps, high fives etc. I think I am just old fashioned...kids nowadays...

Richie Benaud thinks the high five should be outlawed from the game altogether.

Murph said on One Week at a Time that it's a bit of a thing they do down at the club that's just caught on. Richo also commented on how it's a Gen Y thing, and they all love being a bit silly about it
