Having watched the Bullants today, I probably wouldn't make a change unless Jamo and/or Carlos come up. Those two should come straight in if fit, IMO.

If neither Jamo or Carlos come up, the only change I'd consider would be Austin in for Hartlett. And maybe Yarran out for Robbo. Yarran kicked a very nice goal in junk time yesterday, but otherwise struggled I thought. Tex needs another week in the VFL, IMO.

Stevo sat out a large chunk of the last quarter today, which tends to suggest he will play on Friday, but I personally wouldn't rush him back. Who would make way for him? Scotland?

If Jamo is available then swap Hartlet for him, otherwise it would be a toss up between Harts and Austin because I thought Aussie played a pretty good game in the Ants.
As much as I have been critical in the past, Cloke really impressed me today with not only his goal kicking, but his leadership and around the ground work and I'd think about bringing him in to play against his old club.

Oh boy imagine if we win this game with North to follow ...... :yikes:

Excitement levels will be starting to rise for September action.

Would love to see O'Hailpin out there but doubt it

His performance in the Bullants could be best described as ordinary. He won't be going up if form has something to do with it.

Stevens has received the rocket where he needed it. Selecting against Collingwood could be a masterstroke IMO, he will have a fire in his belly now to perform.

of course it could go sour too

Going by what I read in the Bullants section, theres no reason why Stevens should come back in, barring injuries on the training track this week.

From what I saw today the game has passed him by. Whether it is injury or he is not prepared to look after himself, if he continues to produce what he produced today he should hang up the boots at the end of the year.

I know he kicked 3 goals at a crucial time, but Fisher was very very ordinary for the other 110 minutes of the game.

Setanta offers much, much more then Fisher and I dont think we can carry them both in the forward line.

If Irish is fit....

In: Setanta
Out: Fisher

*Ducks for cover*

I felt much the same, but it won't happen.

Except for the 9 goals Fev kicked against Richmond, he was fairly ineffective for the other 111 minutes. :donk:

Could not possibly be selected on the basis of today's performance.

Hey guys, I'm new to TC. This is my first post. I was just wondering what would happen if Carlos played in the next couple of weeks and was at CHF and Fisher would be playing the 3rd tall/leading up to the wing.

If Warnock has a few games in the ants and comes into the side in say round 19 or 20, we surely couldn't have Fisher, Carlos, Hammer and Krooz in the same forward line could we? Im assuming that Hammer is rucking with Warnock and resting in the forward line and Krooz is playing as a permanent forward.

So who would miss out in that scenario? Assuming they are all in good form?

Carlos? Fisher? Hammer?

I would definitely think it would be Fisher

Welcome Mate. Im of the belief that Fisher will not be at the club in 2010. I am fairly confident that he will be traded. As someone else mentioned apart from 10 minuted of good footy he did next to nothing on the weekend and Setanta offers far more in terms of X Factor, aggression and defensve pressure. I cannot see any room for Fisher in the blues future.
A forward line of :
HF: Walker Waite Ohailpin
Betts Fevola Kreuzer

Looks very good and with Yarran, Garlett and others pushing up i cannot see how he will prosper at the club. I would say trade him for a 3rd round pick.

This is a Massive Game.... it will decide our Fate based on two outcomes:

1- WIN and you will have a real crack at 4th Spot and perhaps more realistically 5-6 spot which brings a HOME Final.

2- LOSE and expect to finish 7th-8th and Play away in the first week against Either Adel/Bris.

which is why it is so important that We must Secure a Home Final. Finishing 7th or 8th will not see us past the first week of the Finals.

Righto, another week in the 'Ants for Andrew, in comes Stevens apparently. Joseph won't get his rest this week, but we should consider it for the Roos game.

2001

Another one of our hoodoos to break....

If we get on top in the middle we should get over the line, put a hard tag on Swan, get AJ to rough up Didak. Their forward line is hardly setting the world on fire and Prestigiacomo and Nathan Brown are in doubt down back. Add Fraser to that list also and all of a sudden we look promising to inflict more pain on them.

Blues by 50 :smoking:

Watched the Bullants Sunday....Nick is so slow, I could catch him. There is no possible way he could be picked for this week.

Hi fellow TC'ers.
Heading back overseas after the game on Friday night and was hoping to catch up and hopefully sit with some of my Blue Brethren. I have my membership card for ground entry and it would be great if there are any recommendations as to where I might join you sitting at the ground. A PM or post with any suggestions would be much appreciated.
