Hammer's really progressing... just needs to complete more marks. Kreuzer is a sensational onfield leader!!

PROS

I won all my (risky) bets giving them 7 goals in. Thank you Bluebaggers. I believe.
I thought we held up well in the first half, Awful game style Swand bring.
Hammer and Kreuzer are the best ruck combo going around. They play ruck and ruck rover roles for 4 quarters.
Simmo's best game of 2009 right from the start he was 'ON'
Last quarter blitz is back...and the premiership quarter treated as such with great effect
Ratts...well done with everything...match ups, belief and strategy with such an inexperienced team
Our peripheral players can really hold their heads up today (Fish, Ando, Harts, Jonno, Yazza, Bentley & Russell
Houlihan, now 3 good games in a row, but this was coming for a while...best ever in the midfield
Bentley did the same good things as last week only more of them.
Our depth in the midfield with Betts, Carrots, Simmo, Russell, Bentley, Grigg and Houlihan supporting Judd, Gibbs and Murphy
Yarran in the centre square was a sight for the future. Well done Yazza...still a long way to go, but he's our youngest.
Fevola's team game. Hard at the ball and the man. Hurt factor on the opposition not his own. Great way to go
Fisher presented all game. Did so last week too, but yesterday it paid off being closer to the goals
Kreuzer forward with Fevola and Betts will be more common when Warnock's back
Jamison and Setanta to add stability to the line up next week.
Walker, Warnock to come in over the next month....in readiness for finals
Percentage

CONS

Do I really have to try and dig up a negative?
I didn't think we dropped our bundle in the 2ndQ, but we did fall for their boring game style.
Room for improvement sure, but gotta be happy about the effort of every one of the 22.
Only players to be considered for the inevitable changes when Walker, Warnock, Setanta, Jamison, a fit Stevens and maybe Austin would be Hartlett, Anderson, Scotland, Bentley and maybe Grigg (haven't been convinced that Grigg is an auto selection in 2009)

Soooooooooooooooooooo happy with the Bluebaggers' efforts.
So happy to be a Bluebagger in Sydney.
We stuck it right up them ....an a big way.

True

Once he starts taking those big marks (and it will happen) he is going to be a nightmare for the opposition.

It's amazing the positive effect Kreuzer has had on both Hammer and Jacobs with 2nd and 3rd efforts. Real Judd like leadership.

Can't wait for the Warnock, Hampson, Kreuzer combination to change the face of footy.

Pros: When we were under the pump in the first half our defense really stood firm and saved about 4-6 certain goals , which kept us in the game ... Kreuzer is easily our most important player , to think how weak our rucks were 2 seasons ago , well in two more seasons our rucks will be close to leagues best ... Yarran showed abit of hunger , thats all he needs to do because the assets are all there ... Jamo , setanta and possibly walker to come in next week for - hart, fisher and bentley > that team will be bloody good Cons: nil (im in a good mood)

my thoughts exactly... a 3-ruck side... a conventional GIANT tapout king with endurance, a strapping mobile QUICK athletic beast...and a freakishly talented mobile ruck-chf who can kick bags of 3-5 goals a game.

going to make it very hard to match up on us... very hard.

Pros:

- Houlihan silk
- Simmo running hard
- Bentley had a couple of fumbles but played well.
- Kreuzer was dominant
- Fevola was switched on all game
- Yarran shows class that makes even the best look average. Defensive pressure was good also.
- Fisher played well. That's the baseline for Fisher, 2-3 goals a week and defensive pressure. Sticky hands were good again.
- We smashed Sydney. Not many teams do what we did to Sydney, but we really crushed them in that last quarter, that was impressive.

Cons:

- Hartlett will still be our 6th defender, Austin or Jamo have to come in this week.
- Anderson and Bentley although they played ok aren't going to be playing come finals with Walker, Robbo, Stevens, Browne all vying for a spot.

Houla - I am not a fan but his work was wonderful
Kruise
The attack, the energy, the run the feel for the game.

Con
Me being scared at halftime, time was I'd sit their at halftime and smile knowing we'd blow them out of the water
but the last few years have taken its toll, Carlton's coming and I can't wait ti; my old belief is back also.

Pro... the MC finally worked out that Kroz is better off resting in the fwd line than on the bench..

Carlos will help our flexibility even more.

Pros:
I don't get to see too many games live anymore but this was one.
Ratts freeing up Gibbs made a hell of a difference and this should be the norm. make other sides tag him instead of using him in a tagging role.
JR's running. Somebody else said they ignore him and maybe that's true but I watched him run the length of the ground beside the footy for no possessions. My mate, an ex footballer, commented that that sort of effort is what wins footy games.
Yarran looks like a left footer. Is he? His goal was my play of the day.
Houlihan played well and kicked truly except for one bad one into a nest of Swans.
Kreuzer 'resting' forward.
Fev taking defenders away from the goals to make space for long kicks to goal and running goals.
I liked the Swans jumper. It's better than the current one.
More kicks than handballs. We have won games kicking and lost them running and carrying.
Nice dinner at Via Venuto in Lygon St. Can recommend it.
Cons:
We don't zone well. The centre square was vacant at one stage and they had possession on the half-back line. We tend to use the flanks more than the corridor and so tend not to defend it as well as we should. Thus we lose to Essendon*.
Hawks won.

I love it when we get many fewer possessions and WIN.

When Brittain was coach we would get 50 possessions more and get beaten.

I don't get it. When should've we broken the shackles of the Swans? Five minutes into the first? Should we have won by 300 points?
