Wouldn't be too concerned just yet. Carlton have done nyngan all game and are only 9 points down. More scoring shots again. What a shock...

We need to show some real heart and passion in the second half. The Swans are always able to control the tempo in our games, we need to bust some @#$%&! heads.

Definitely Hartlett now. Bower was chasing tail because of his poor marking...

If Anderson's on O'Loughlin, Hartlett on White, LRT down back, Gibbs on Goodes... who are Bower and Thornton manning?

Grundy and...?

No. Harts has been on him since the start of the match.

T-Bird is playing lose man in defence

Not sure about Bower. Hardly seen him all match.

Not sure what game you're watching jim, but Hartlett has been on White the whole game...clearly.

Bower was on O'Laughlin but Anderson is now.

Thornton is loose. Bower may be on Grundy.

We've got to be tighter at the stoppages if we're not winning the ball.

We lead the scoring shots, yet are behind.

A REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL sense of deja vu here.

To be fair to our defence, he has gotten some great delivery.

Our midfield really needs to lift.

We're getting smashed around the stoppages as per usual when we play these guys. There's not even Blues players around the ruck half the time. Just 5 Sydney guys - two of them holding Judd, and the other three clearing the ball.

Our skills have been pretty woeful, but our main problem is the lack of ball winning mids that shows up everytime a team holds Judd.

We look like we need another forward option.

Krooooz to go forward?

Hartlett maybe?

White isn't a first gamer so he must be talking about Henneberry. I dont think he's smashing us.

The only Blues player that seems to give a toss is Kreuzer. There is just no passion or enthusiasm evident at all in the rest of them.

Umpiring has been shite too.

Really missing Jamo today.

I have a feeling we will win.
Saw some early brilliance from Yarran...he could really be a star.
Kreuzer...wow!!!
But...
I really don't care if it is politically incorrect or whatever to write this.
I can't wait to get some really top players back,
and....I will not miss Hartlett, or .Bentley..JR??(ambivalent currently..but like hs passion.)Johnston, and Ando..maybe in time will be ok.
It is just painful not to have the best possible team playing...and I know we will be a killer team when the 3 W's are back and firing.
ps.Would rather have Mitch Baby than any of the aforementioned H,A, and J.
Go blues!!

Essendon* smashed these guys last week. Wonder if they'll lift if reminded of that fact. Probably not, given the apathy they show when actually facing them in a game.

Incidentally, umpires have always loved Carlton, just ask Brisbane supporters.

Those clowns in Lemon are destroying us. FFS is there any danger of a Swans player getting done for holding the ball?? Muppets.

The Swans are all over us but havn't put it on the board so I reckon we are still in this. Lots of players can lift, namely Gibbs, Bentley, Yarran (looks good when he's got it), Joseph and Scotto especially. If a few of them do we can roll this bunch of teachers pets.

Hopefully we've worked this out now, given that we're half way through the game. Man these guys are frustrating to watch. I hate that we seem unable to consistently find an answer to the Swans shit style of play.

A lot of that has to be attributed the way Sydney plays though. Chip, chip, chip....

We have also been clearly on top at the stoppages at certain point in the game.

It's just the Swans have done it for more of the game than us.

When we've gotten the clearance, we've killed them.

If we get on top at the stoppages, we'll bury them.

A couple of things from the first half.

• I hope the umpires at least bought us dinner, because we're being reamed. No lube, no condom. They've proved Adam Goodes is indeed a protected species. Holding the ball decisions paid against us, get "let go for the sake of the game" against the Swans. You know it's bad when even Dwayne Russell comments on the umpires.

• We're allowing the match to be played on their terms. That's going to cost us, every time.

• Too many turnovers.

Plenty of ability to come back and take this one, but F^*$% it's frustrating to watch.
