I know what Roos has said is the plain obvious but I can't help admitting that it's true to the point that it makes us so predictable.

Let us assume Judd has an average game of about 25 possies and Fev has his usual game against Sydney...i.e. one goal at best...where do the goals come from for us to win??? Who will step up at the stoppages to make up for Judds reduced impact????

When we answer these questions candidly it really tells you where we are from a structural perspective.

And these are the questions amongst others that need to be answered (starting on Saturday) out on the ground and up in the box if we are to take the next step.

..but you can say this about most teams.. ..with the saints, stop roo's supply, cut down the impact of hayes and stifle say montagna and dal-santo and they'll struggle too.. ..like most teams if you blanket their dominant fwd, reduce the impact of their clearance player and stifle their outside run, all teams struggle..

the trick to this game is to get out in front early ... when Sydney start a game well they then revert to choking up the game

..disagree, i reckon Garlett has definately added defensive pressure, assists and chimes in with a goal here and there, for a 1st yr skinny rookie i reckon he has had an impact.. ..he also allows Betts to spend a bit of time in the center square which definately adds impact as well..

Agree. Garlett is easily the fastest and freakiest bloke we've had for ages. Just needs to mature and add say another 5-6kg of muscle (he'll never be big). There is definitely a spot for him in our 17th premiership side.

Just thought of this but once he matures I can see a bit of Michael Long in him.

Wouldn`t it just be heaven if we are playing the scum for our 17th and Garlett destroys them as payback for what he did to us.

I still hate him to this day but would have loved him in the navy blue.

You're selecting the Swans to win?

I think it's our midfield which gives me great confidence this game and moving forward.

Hartlett/ Jammo on White
Thornton on O'Loughlin
Gibbs on Goodes
Bower on O'Keefe

I think we should cover their forwardline if we can control the midfield, and I do not expect O'Keefe to be too close to goals.
O'Keefe of late delivers to the forwards as their playmaker/ linkman.

Our first line Mids:

Judd Gibbs Russell and on the wings Simmo Johnson

Rotate with

Carrazzo Murphy Grigg

Further supported by

Betts Joseph Scotland Bentley Houlihan Anderson

I think there's enough class and run in their with proven taggers who can also win their share of the footy in Gibbs Joseph and Russell.

Just to think how much pressure will be on these running types with

the following knocking on the door

Walker Stevens Robinson Armfield Browne Hadley

There's pressure for spots and I think this will be the catalyst for the perpheral players to perform today.
And against the tough contesting Swans, we don't have not selected lightweights to compete with them in the guts.
Should be a tough contest andwe should over the corse of the game get on top and run away in the last.

We should win this game and win it well....7 goal win on the fast Dome surface (where we unluckily lost by only 2 pts in 2008)

Fev to kick 5 goals.

Go Bluebaggers
