No different to the deals Judd talked about with Mike Sheehan on his "Open Mike" program in regards to being personally sponsored by Medibank Private and Puma who were also club major sponsors of the WC Eagles.

Paul Connors (Juddy's manager) rang SEN this morning as KB and were discussing the Judd, Visy and Carlton scenario.

He said that he didn't wanna ring in because he thought Robbo's article was just rubbish. Poorly researched he said, never rang he or anyone at VISY and siad research is not checking websites and taking a guess.

Basically PC said that the deal was negotiated by him with Visy and the Carlton Football Club had nothing to do with it.

The deal was ticked off Ken Woods by the AFL and that the problem here is that more deals like Juddys one with VISY could happen but the AFL will not approve many as they may conflict with the AFL's own sponsorship arrangements.

He said that VISY are more than happy with there return of paying Chris Judd as an ambassador. He said it's an avenue for VISY to reach wider audiences with the use of a Chris Judd an example he gave was that VISY and Juddy handing out computers to schools effected from the bushfire tragedies around King Lake. PC said that Judd's involvement created national exposure where as a story like that would have never made the news.

Judd has filmed some tv spots for VISY its world environmental week sometime soon.

Kevin Bartlett agreed with this and said players have reached celebrity status and why couldn't they use there profile to create extra income.

Which would be very similar to the celebrity status now being afford to previously little known newspaper journos who now work and cross promote themselves on FTA TV, Pay TV, newspapers, radio, internet and billboards.

If Robbo has a problem it should be with the AFL not Judd and Visy.

This morning Greg Denham pointed out that Gary Ablett makes more money out of footy than Judd does. He doesnt play for Carlton so it is not a story.

Robbo brought it up again today on SEN, when interviewing Demetriou. Demetriou pointed out to Robbo that Judd is filming an ad for Visy this coming week!
