Is the re-development of Visy Park due for completion near the end of this year? I have seen a few recent photos and it looks like that it is all taking shape.

The main points I want to raise are these - do the players have access right now to the elite fitness equipment or facilities? Or are we training in a makeshift Gymnasium underneath one of the other stands within Visy Park? There is also a recovery pool down near the old Carlton shop around near the Gardiner Stand?

I remember Hawthorn upgraded the facilities at Waverley Park and several other interstate clubs have what is considered a very good training base. This re-development of Visy Park will bring us up to par with these other clubs right?

So am I safe to say with new facilities and everything required at the players fingertips, that we can be sure of further improvement in 2010 and beyond once the new training base is up and running?

Unfortunately not, but I had a walk around the building site during the junior clinic. Looks really great but its mostly the structural parts that are finished and they just had started to put windows in etc. I think they had planned for completion in October, to me it looked more like another 6 months.

In there is the periodic pictures taken, the latest is from today but if you wish to sit through 8307 photos you can see from the beginning of the project to the stage its currently at. They appear to be pictures taken every 30 minutes. Knock yourself out.
