Let's face it, our last 3 efforts have been pretty ordinary.

Outrun and outclassed by the Bombers, and shocking early on against Freo (who kicked just one goal last weekend!), and only just got across the line against Richmond, courtesy of Fevola.

Is this just a slump? Or are we maybe not as good as we hoped we would be?

Obviously in saying that I acknowledge we are still a young side, and in 2010 we should be better once Waite and Walks are back, and Warnock is up n running.

But on the flipside, have Scotto and Stevo hit the wall sooner than we expected? And do we not bat deep enough, given the likes of Bentley and Fisher and Houlihan are still in the team? (injuries are no excuse, cause all teams get them).

..i reckon all in all we're probably on schedule.. ..also keep in mind that this season has been funny for all teams, with some teams' form being less than reliable..

I think we're a bit better than average, but not much. We're on track to where we need to be in the medium term, though, which is good.

All teams have injuries and all are pretty average when they do have them. See collingwood geelong bulldogs hawks etc.

We are pretty boring at the moment but hopefully we can add a bit of class and get some momentum up.
Bit like the pies did at the start of their little streak.

Well, officially, we are slightly above average.

The average number of wins per club is exactly 7, and we have won 7.
The average ladder position is 8th and 9th, and we're 7th.

So, Essendon* and Port Adelaide are average, and we're above average.

Not that any of that means diddly squat, but given it's been brought up, I thought I'd point out the facts......

Average yes. Add to that directionless, no confidence and under developed.

Melbourne will leap frog us in the next year or two.

Essendon* are ahead of us.

The Hawks will be back next year.

The crows are hear to stay.

Same as the Pies, Bulldogs and Saints.

I'd say we will be fighting with Port and the Lions for a spot in the eight next year as nothing will change.

Funny how no one remembers how we were at our best in the second half against the Saints

WOW 2 quarters of football against a team that played to 10 minute patches of brilliant football to put the game out of reach

Well in 15 unbeaten games the closest anyone has got to them is 6 points. That was the Cats and the Lions and they beat us by just 9 pts. If Houls had kicked that goal we would have hit the lead with a few minutes to go so as per nornal don't not let the facts get in the way of your good story.

could of, should of, would of but we didn't.

if you're hanging your hopes in a one of 2 quarter effort than you are as delirious as our coach and recruiting department

Actually I'm a realist and I'm hanging my hat on 22 rounds and a steady improvement quarter to quarter, game to game, season to season.
