I am not sure if its just me or was that the worst umpiring anybody has ever seen?

Nope, last week against fremantle set a new benchmark for a four quarter effort of cheating by the unpires ... but as a stand alone quarter, the first one against the Saints was up there.

Pro:

We won, with nothing like our strongest team. How many teams can lose 3 out of their backline and still maintain their structure?

We kicked straight, and Richmond didn't. Nice to have that boot on the other foot for a change.

Hammer got his face uglied up a bit. Just too bloody good looking, that bloke

This time around, there was no bullshit Cousins vs Judd hype.

Con:

Our percentage is slowly but surely dropping back to the pack. Need a big win somewhere... if we can seriously hammer a team then that will be a genuine 8 point game. Unfortunately, we're going to play Norf and the Dees just when they're coming good. Hopefully we get the dees in tank mode.

Pros:
- Fev. FFS, he infuriates and exhilerates us all in equal measure.
- JR. Wow, a couple of weeks in the 2's and knowing that he's not guaranteed a spot have seen him lift his performance and workrate, who'd have thought ;)
- We still won without Waite, Walker, O'Hailpin, Bower, Warnock, Scotland and Stevens
- Our kicking was accurate in shocking conditions
- Carazzo and Grigga close to our best
- Kreuzer MUST play regularly in the forward 50. Hampson's development and Warnock's (possible) debut could see this become reality.
- Judd, GIBBS and Murph their usual wonderful selves
- Good to see Harts get some solid gametime. With his kicking, could he be our 'Luke Hodge'?

Cons:
- Minus Fev, we'd be stuffed
- Eddie was quiet
- Thornton was beaten soundly by a couple of first gamers (wonder how long it'll be before the Yarran vs Vickery threads begin)
- This side is CLEARLY messed up in the head. It just seems that they'll simply believe victory will magically appear if they get a bit in front, or if Fev/Judd are having blinders. We're developing a side of 'names', not a team.
- The fact that we had a semi-decent lead on one of the weakest tigers teams we're ever likely to see again, and if not for the brilliance of a few, would've been overtaken.
- Bentley and Joey were poor, and Garlett needs more time.
- Kickin-ins FFS!

spot on with everything you wrote, totally agree!

A game high tackle of 8, isn't quiet IMHO.

He kicked one goal but provided great pressure around the ground and in particular the F50.

Watched the game on IQ, and thought Anderson was actually fine - did some very good things and was reasonably steady. Hartlett competed well and kicked well, though he did lose his man at times.

I'd like to see both play again this week if possible, to give them the chance to gain some confidence and maybe develop some depth.
