...hes still very ordinary.

OhAilpin over Russell for mine.

Thats just a personal opinion, more passion - and he can stay on his feet...

Setanta has 10X the footy brain. Knows where to run, how the ball will bounce and how to create space.

I’m confused. Is Russell a key forward? Or is Setanta a running half back flanker? Why are we comparing the two?

Joseph over Hampson I say. :donk:

80% of my posts on this site have been about how bad i think JR is and heres one more for the records. He is frustrating the hell out of me, big body, good height, speed and doesnt use any of those attributes in his game. If its a confidence thing then the club has to ask the question how long does this kids need??? he has been given more chances than any other kid on our list by far with less reward.

Im sorry to all you JR lovers out there but its time for him to go and lets no focus on him again, he has had enough bagging for a lifetime.

Because they're both footballers (apparently) One has footy smarts and is an athlete, and the other is an athlete.

Instrumental in getting us back into the match, couple of efforts on the wing with some gut-busting running that led to a goal. Kicked a nice goal himself. Had a couple of turnovers, but wasn't the only one. Played a good game and will still be in the seniors next week before all the discussion about how he has to be dropped starts.

Even with his efforts to get us back in the match, people will call for him to be dropped for Stevens or Scotland.

Good post. I can`t believe he is getting bagged after his effort yesterday.

If you are wondering why Judd was able to play so well

Have a look at the work that Russell - Carrazzo - Bentley and co do off the ball to allow him to play so well

I must admit to not being at Subi yesterday, but I couldn't see a lot of work from either Russell, Bentleigh or anyone else for that matter, that helped Judd do what he did. Judd chased, tackled, mugged, delivered with precision.... all by himself.

Russell played okay. Okay for Russell means not too many disasters. He wasn't the worst, but he wasn't up against a whole lot after quarter time.

He needs to do THAT against adults.

If you had of been at the game you would have seen the work he did. Ran hard and looked like the ONLY player that gave a shit in 2nd quarter. Ran to create and ran to tackle, harass and shepard. A hell of a lot more than most of our players were doing. We looked lazy and uninspired until Jordan ran hard, got the hard ball then followed up, not once, not twice but 3 times.

Sure Jordy may not yet be living up to his top 10 draft status, and yes he is taking longer to develop than we might like, but he's worth persisting with IMO. Has certainly shown more at AFL level than Hartlett, for example, who many are pushing to get a game.

He was very good yesterday.

Maybe save the baggings for when the poor bloke puts in a bad game?

JR had heard Bradley had written nasty things about him on TC. Now Keplar's spittin' teeth. You have been warned 'Duke'

Clearly one of our best yesterday and was the catalyst for the 2nd quarter comeback
